Sony Pictures has acquired the live-action film rights to D’ORC! Deadline has the exclusive, and creator Brett Bean is attached to adapt it for the screen. The bestselling series sold out its first issue before release and is now on its 8th printing, so the D’ORC army just got a whole lot bigger. Don’t wait for the movie. Volume 1 is out now in trade paperback, and Volume 2 hits comic shops this December.

Nine months in and D'Orc pull lists keep climbing, from about 4K on #2 to nearly 7K for #9, with ratings parked around 4.4 out of 5. @2dbean built a world with heart, a murder shield and a ghost chicken.
