You & @UKLabour have been in total control of this issue for 18+ months? 40-50% of the useful time in this Parliament is now gone. People are trapped. £hundreds of bns capital trapped. When will u demonstrate the same vigour u showed in opposition on this & deliver on ur promise?

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen delays, the government has not been able to publish the draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill before the Commons Christmas Recess. My letter to @FloEshalomi making clear we expect to be in a position to do so early in the new year 👇🏻

1.5m new homes BUT @Keir_Starmer @UKLabour priorities miss LEASEHOLD. Innocent folk literally trapped in their homes. We know @10DowningStreet @mhclg know this, so they either don’t care or can’t help. Which? Perhaps they believe FHers DO have God given right to exploit? Wrong!

We need to drain the swamp. The Tories were kicked out for being too close to vested interests and aloof to normal people’s concerns. This sort of thing leads to collapse in public trust in democracy, especially when you put clear action in the manifesto and King’s Speech.

.@UKLabour @Keir_Starmer @mtpennycook look to be on that track. And this was an open goal for crying out loud. Gove teed them up with both LAFRA and gaps to be filled. Everyone in violent agreement. Optics are shocking. What happened to insurgent gov of delivery? None to be seen
