“That was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” said an administration official, who cited “a fallout of support for MAHA initiatives at the White House.”
NEW: Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is taking another run at defining ultraprocessed foods, a longtime target of his MAHA movement.
Talks are actively underway, multiple administration officials told me and @Marcia_Brown9, and the secretary will meet with senior White House officials next week about the policy.
