something about a multi year front run
Now that AI is the most hated tech crypto has a unique chance to rewire its branding in the minds of normies from "scammy casino gutter" to "hedge against AI" asset class

with every step forward in artificial reflections of humanity, true human networks increase in value. I don’t mean tech scanning humans for verification, I mean literal human networks as it gets easier and easier to digitally/ artificially replicate humans, actual human behaviour will continue to regress towards true network effects [ ]
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

some think that we will ask tech what’s true and what’s real the reality is that humans will just filter to each other more directly, and more direct connections will underpin an internet effect

the reason(s) for a network should be that it makes things either uniquely possible on top or multiples better the two ways to get there are - start with a behaviour or proposition (usually as the app/ front end), protocolise it, scale into being the network others utilise for that (hyperliquid) - already have a huge advantage in something that you can protocolise and let other people build on top of so the way to build a chain is ironically probably not to build a chain
the amount of dogshit projects that have TGE’d at multi-billion dollar valuations is diabolical  all of these teams are either not building anymore or have pivoted to the next shiny narrative - perp dexs and tokenization plays this cycle  the playbook of launching a chain or a ‘network’ with the sole purpose of demanding a high valuation is one of the biggest reasons why the industry isn’t further ahead and has burnt billions in capital  we got played and allowed it to happen all because they’d give us a tiny sliver of the pie

oh and btw, proof of humanity by scanning your iris or whatever part of your body is completely missing the point real proof of humanity is a network of humans vetting humans the trust = the social graph

proof of humanity is still imo one of the biggest opportunities for crypto the internet is going to be full of bots and agents, thats a given now and its fine but i also think humans will want their own corner of the internet where being human is the feature crypto is actually perfect to create that primitive prove once that you are human, carry that proof across apps and let networks decide when they want human only access that is wayyyy bigger than it sounds and imo will be the first major non financial crypto use case

you would have to be a very silly person to say that face or hand scans through cameras on personal devices solve for impersonation and deepfakes of faces and hands

almost as silly as saying a scan on a dedicated device to create an account with uptake mostly by people who will sell their account means the account is still the same person

although not as silly as thinking behaviour filters towards airport models rather than regresses to tighter knowable networks and spans of proximity for identity

the final boss in crypto is identity identity ≠ identifiers [ ]
the final boss in crypto is identity - after we cracked privacy, wallet UX/DX, security, and performance, we are finally going to have a shot on goal after the most interesting topic that ive wanted to crack open for the longest time
