Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Famer Brian Westbrook reveals Stump Mitchell told him right before the Senior Bowl game that he was only going to play him on third downs and special teams Brian Westbrook: "Right before the game he said, 'Listen, I'm only going to play you on some third downs and you're going to play special teams.' And I'm like, 'Why?' He said, 'Because the scouts only think this is what you can do.'" Brian Westbrook: "My goal in the NFL was to prove that I can be an every-down back, that I can pass block, that I can run the ball, that I can catch the ball out of the backfield. He just didn't want to give me the opportunity to do that, and that hurt. I had been fighting that throughout my career."
