Fake Russian car driven by a fake Putin double.
In yet another humiliating propaganda catastrophe for the Putin regime, the Kremlin's widely heralded re-launch of iconic Soviet era car company Volga his a snag, as the cars are found to be purely Chinese Geely's with tape placed over the logos. Only 3 months ago, Putin himself inaugurated the factory, signing one and driving one off the assembly line.

🇬🇧🇷🇺 BRITAIN CONFRONTS LAVROV AT G20: “RUSSIA WILL NOT WIN THIS WAR” British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband delivered a forceful condemnation of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine directly to Sergey Lavrov during the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting. “We all know who the aggressor is in this war.” Miliband cited a Russian drone attack on a railway station in Dnipro that he said had killed 15 people, placing it alongside the wider civilian suffering caused by Moscow’s invasion. He then challenged Putin’s original expectations of a quick victory, arguing that Ukrainian resistance and international support had frustrated Russia’s plans. “You will not win this war.” Miliband urged Lavrov to acknowledge Russia’s failure to achieve its objectives and deliver that message to Putin himself. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas reinforced the criticism, accusing Lavrov of spreading falsehoods while showing no genuine willingness to negotiate peace. She insisted that Moscow must demonstrate its intentions through concrete actions rather than diplomatic statements, including steps towards a ceasefire in the Black Sea. Asked why she refused to pose for a photograph with Lavrov, Kallas answered: “We must not normalize war crimes at this table.” The confrontation highlighted a fundamental disagreement over diplomacy: European officials are demanding evidence of Russian willingness to end the fighting, while Moscow continues its military campaign. For Ukraine’s European supporters, maintaining diplomatic channels does not mean treating the invasion as an ordinary disagreement between states.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 ZELENSKYY'S INTERVIEW REVEALS WHAT FIVE YEARS OF PUTIN'S WAR HAVE DONE TO HIM 💔 There is a moment in Volodymyr Zelenskyy's interview with Steven Bartlett that is difficult to forget. Asked how he is doing, the Ukrainian president explains that he barely sleeps. His nights are spent following military communications, making decisions about air defences and trying to determine which Ukrainian cities can be protected with the limited systems available. Nearly five years into Russia's full-scale invasion, even sleep has become something he cannot take for granted. But the most painful moments come when he talks about the people he has lost. He describes presenting posthumous awards to the families of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. A father approaches to receive his son's decoration, shakes the president's hand and quietly asks whether they can embrace. Zelenskyy says these encounters leave him emotionally devastated. He knows that nothing he says, no medal he presents and no embrace he offers can bring those families back to the lives they had before. He also recalls the horror of children killed by Russian missiles, including an attack on a playground, and the discovery of murdered civilians in Bucha after Russian forces withdrew. These experiences help explain his frustration with demands that Ukraine simply accept a quick peace agreement. How do you tell families who have buried their children that they must surrender more territory to the country responsible for invading their homeland? And what guarantee would prevent another invasion after the fighting stops? At one point, Bartlett shows him photographs from his earlier life: Kryvyi Rih, comedy performances, his work voicing Paddington Bear and his television career in Servant of the People. The contrast is extraordinary. Before becoming a wartime president, Zelenskyy was an entertainer whose work was built around making people laugh. Now his daily responsibilities involve missile interceptions, destroyed cities, military casualties and families waiting for news of missing relatives. The interview also exposes the enormous distance between Ukraine's wartime reality and the political calculations of its allies. While Ukrainian cities endure Russian attacks on their energy infrastructure, Zelenskyy faces American pressure over Ukrainian strikes against Russian oil facilities and their potential impact on fuel prices. For Washington, energy costs are a political issue. For Kyiv, striking infrastructure connected to Russia's war effort is part of a struggle for survival. Zelenskyy can be criticized, questioned and held accountable for his decisions. Wartime leadership does not place anyone beyond scrutiny. But this interview offers something that political arguments often overlook: a glimpse of the human being carrying those responsibilities. Watch the interview. Especially the moments when he talks about the families of fallen soldiers. Those are the moments that stay with you.

Deforestation is not development. It turns carbon sinks into carbon sources, wipes out gorillas and forest elephants, and helps dry out the farms downstream. In 2025, non-fire primary forest loss in the DRC hit a record. The science is not ambiguous

🇺🇦🇷🇺 BUDANOV: RUSSIA’S MILITARY MYTH IS COLLAPSING, AND THE RECKONING IS COMING Kyrylo Budanov has delivered a warning to Moscow, arguing that Russia’s image as an overwhelming military power is being steadily dismantled by the realities of its war against Ukraine. “The Russians are beginning to understand that their army is not that strong, that their air defense systems are not that good, and that the Russian army is actually not capable of protecting the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.” He went further, dismissing Russia’s longstanding reputation as one of the world’s most powerful military forces. “This is not at all the second army in the world, and not even the fourth. And the reckoning will come.” Budanov’s argument is that the psychological consequences of the war are beginning to reach Russian society itself. For years, the Kremlin has presented its military strength as a guarantee of security at home and control over occupied Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian operations against Russian military positions, air defenses and infrastructure have increasingly challenged that image. According to Budanov, the perception of the war changes when Russians experience its consequences directly rather than viewing the fighting as something confined to Ukraine. “The understanding that there will be retribution comes to people when they personally begin to see and feel that the war is not somewhere in some part of the world, but on their own territory.” He believes this change is already underway. “Therefore, the turning point has already begun.” His remarks are an assessment of Russia’s military vulnerabilities and the psychological impact of the conflict, rather than proof that a decisive battlefield turning point has occurred. But his central argument is unmistakable: Russia’s ability to wage war beyond its borders does not mean it can guarantee security within them.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 ZELENSKYY WARNS EUROPE: RUSSIA IS BUILDING AN ARMY THE CONTINENT IS NOT READY TO FIGHT Volodymyr Zelenskyy has delivered a stark warning at the Hudson Institute: Europe cannot assume that Russia’s military ambitions will end at Ukraine’s borders. According to the Ukrainian president, Russia already has an army of approximately two million personnel and intends to recruit another 300,000. He warned that not all of those additional forces are necessarily intended for the war in Ukraine. “No country in Europe has an army ready for such a fight. I’m not talking about people, I’m talking about armies.” That is why Zelenskyy argues that Ukraine should become part of NATO’s eastern flank. After years of fighting Russia, Ukraine has accumulated battlefield experience that he believes would strengthen Europe’s collective defence. He also warned that Russia is already conducting hybrid warfare against European countries, pointing to drone incidents involving Romania, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria and Germany. He cited an October 23 attack on a commercial vessel near Romania in the Black Sea as another example of the threat extending beyond Ukraine. But his warning was not limited to Russian troops. Zelenskyy claimed that Russia produces approximately 140 ballistic missiles every month and has accumulated a stockpile of around 700. He said roughly 70% of the components used in those missiles originate abroad, including from companies in Asia, Europe and the United States. If those figures are accurate, they raise serious questions about the effectiveness of export controls and the international supply chains supporting Russia’s weapons production. Then he turned to the human consequences. Zelenskyy estimated that between 20,000 and 30,000 civilians were killed during Russia’s assault and occupation of Mariupol, while approximately 20,000 Ukrainian children have been deported or forcibly transferred to Russia. He also described how displacement has left millions of Ukrainians living outside their homeland. He welcomed the return of 270 Ukrainians from Russian captivity but insisted that a comprehensive prisoner exchange remains essential. Some Ukrainians, he noted, have been imprisoned since Russia’s occupation of Crimea in 2014. His broader argument was directed at European governments that still regard Russia primarily as Ukraine’s problem. Zelenskyy believes that assumption is dangerous. In his assessment, Russia is preparing for a prolonged confrontation with Europe, while too many European countries remain militarily unprepared. Ukraine’s president is asking NATO to recognize something he considers fundamental: defending Ukraine and defending Europe are increasingly inseparable strategic challenges.

Yes it was unnecessarily hard and it was also advisory. Most of all though, it damaged Uk economy and weakened our own and the EU’s security and defence. Just like Putin wanted. Johnson knew all that and went ahead anyway. He betrayed his country and now he’s fucking off to live in the US. theguardian.com/politics/202…

32m ago 13.30 GMT UK Defence plans announced in today’s budget speech . Healey gives more detail of how defence spending will go up. “First, I’m launching today a new innovative Defence Finance Taskforce to lead this work ahead of the spending review. Second, I’m now confirming that we will commence treaty negotiations on the multilateral defence mechanism or bank with Finland, Poland and the Netherlands to boost defence investment and joint procurement across Nato allies. 📺 “We reported events one-sidedly for years”: Serbian TV apologizes to viewers after Vučić's party loses the election Radio Television of Vojvodina (RTV) opened its news broadcast with footage of celebrations following the Student List's election victory — scenes it had failed to show the previous evening. “For years, we failed to fulfill our duty. We kept silent, turned a blind eye, reported events one-sidedly, and failed to ask the necessary questions. For that, we owe our viewers an apology,” news anchor Goran Eror said. Following the controversy, RTV's acting editor-in-chief Nenad Čačić resigned. A similar incident occurred in Hungary, where state television also apologized to viewers after Viktor Orbán's election defeat.
🎉🎉 Serbia celebrates Vučić's defeat all night — now he's warning the country about sanctions against Russia After 14 years of Aleksandar Vučić's political dominance, his bloc has lost the snap parliamentary elections. The opposition Student List, which emerged from mass anti-government protests, has claimed victory. According to preliminary figures from Ipsos and CeSID, the students secured around 53% of the vote, while Vučić's coalition received approximately 39%. The former president acknowledged defeat. He estimated that the winners could secure 135–140 seats in Serbia's 250-member parliament. But he couldn't resist issuing a warning about Russia. Vučić claimed the new government could impose sanctions on Moscow as early as March or April. Meanwhile, Belgrade and other Serbian cities celebrated the student movement's victory throughout the night, with car horns, singing, and crowds cheering in the streets. Final election results are still pending.

🚨 For years the Telegraph was one of the loudest cheerleaders for hard Brexit and the glorious economic freedom supposedly waiting outside Europe. Now the Telegraph is owned by a German 🇩🇪 company. And that German owner is cutting up to 100 jobs as it restructures the paper into a “global, AI-powered” business. Some of its most hardline Brexit voices are also reported to be among those leaving. Perhaps there is a lesson here. Markets really are global. Capital really does cross borders. And shouting “sovereignty” does not stop decisions about British jobs being made somewhere else. Brexit promised control. The ownership structure tells a rather different story.
