The source image for DJPEPE is DJ Qbert (@DJQbert) taken 19 Sept 2010 at Sala El Loco in Valencia, California by Rafo Solano of Dear Productions. It was first published on Rafa's flickr page. The first commerical use of the photo was for a bandwagmag.com article published 11 Oct 2014 titled The Evolution of DJ Qbert which was written by Kyle Eustice.
The source image for MCPEPE is the Eric B. & Rakim album cover for Paid In Full. Scrilla isolated and Pepefied Rakim for the card.
The source images for PEPEONE are graffiti throw-ups by members of the RTH Crew from Statin Island. Specifically GOAL, KEVS, and OUCH (RIP). Scrilla knows all 3 artists and was given permission to use their work on the card. They are in the background in black and white. Scrilla then went over their work with his own drawing and lettering for a character he named PEPEONE.
The subject of BBOYPEPE is Beat Street star Robert Taylor. The moves (head spin, sweep swipe, turtle back spin, downrocking, and track freeze) were captured by photographer Michael Ginsburg who worked behind the scenes on the production crew as the still photographer, capturing the promotional and production imagery for Orion Pictures.
The images were first used in publication in the June 29, 1984 issue of BAM Magazine as part of the article Breakin' the Rules: "Beat Street" Director Stan Lathan Brings New York's Streets to Hollywood.

Yesterday was a good reminder... if you have a bunch of nft's or coins you'd rather not lose, it's probably good to secure them BEFORE something happens.

Tomorrow night I'm going to read my book. The whole thing. Start to finish, over the course of the week, live on Spaces.
Some of you know I've been working on this for a while. Some of you have no idea what I've been doing. Here's the short version:
I wrote a novel called The Creature From Jekyll Island: Pepe Edition. A five-generation American family saga hiding inside the history of money. So from coal mines and script to quantum computers, from 1893 bank panics to Bitcoin. In this book, the Federal Reserve is not a building. It is a monster.
The first edition sold out. The second edition sold out. People who read it kept finding me to tell me it changed how they think about money, about history, about what's coming.
While building the hardcover I went back into the manuscript and refused to stop. The finished book is now roughly 60% larger than the previous edition. Not 60% more blank paper. 60% more book.
This is the version I can finally say I am finished.
Tuesday the first fifty hardcover proofs go up for auction on @scarcedotcity... signed, hand-numbered, each one personalized. But tomorrow night the auction is still closed. There is nothing to buy. There is only the book.
If you have never cared about Bitcoin auctions, ignore that sentence. Come hear the story.
Monday 8 PM on Twitter Spaces. Stay as long as it holds you. If it doesn't hold you, dip out with no guilt.

If it holds you and you want to know about the auction, I'll explain the rest between chapters.
i hope you can join me

The Creature From Jekyll Island: Pepe Edition is narrated by me. I do all the little voices which was sort of uncomfortable but ended up being fun.
I have a few promo codes... not sure what to do with em
