A performance of the opening section of the classical masterpiece "Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565" by the great composer Johann Sebastian Bach on the Wanamaker Organ—one of the world's largest and most magnificent operational pipe organs.

Scientists invented a fake disease, and AI fell for it.
Swedish researchers created a fictional itchy eye condition called “bixonimania,” published fake papers packed with obvious clues that the research was fabricated, and found that large language models still repeated it as real. The result is a powerful reminder that AI can spread medical misinformation when it pulls from unreliable sources, which is why human expertise and fact-checking still matter in science and health communication.

The creator of the C++ programming language, Bjarne Stroustrup, says AI-generated code is not successful and calls the idea of using natural language as a programming language idiotic.
He says humans will still write code and use abstraction.
According to him, AI generates bloated code with more bugs and security holes, making it hard to validate.
He also says the senior developers needed to validate it are starting to retire because they don’t want to deal with validating something that changes every time you change your prompt.
He goes on to say that AI is not good at writing safety-critical or performance-critical code: “Now, let’s say that 70 or 80% of the world’s code doesn’t fit that pattern, but it’s that 10, 20% of the code that I’m interested in.”

This fully restored 19th century meat slicer is a beautiful piece. It looks exactly like the one my Nana had in her kitchen when I was growing up. She loved using older kitchen tools and vintage items instead of the newer appliances. I am sure that's where I get my love of antiques and repurposing items and giving them new life.
Enjoy this beautiful restoration and the ASMR. ❤️

If you are making several of something and mark your panels very precisely, you can stack and cut them all at the same time so you can save time and mess up all of your panels in one go.

America is a constant work in progress. Every generation must take up the unfinished work of the last and carry it further—protecting what’s right, fixing what’s wrong, and making our union a little more perfect. 250 years later, that’s more important than ever.
