$SPX | One final shakeout before the next major bullish leg — and potentially a Cycle Top above 10,000? 🚨
My preferred Elliott Wave roadmap suggests a multi-stage bullish continuation with now a complex correction with a fakeout (in form of a expanded flat) but still the sequence and key invalidation levels are crucial.
1. Wave (3) – Potentially Completed
The August high around 7,800 may have marked the end of the lower-degree Wave (3).
2. Wave (4) – Expanded Flat (3-3-5)
(a): Initial decline toward ~7,484
(b): Corrective rebound toward/above ~7,800
(c): Final five-wave decline, potentially completing Wave (4) within 7,250–7,480
3. Wave (5) – Final Push to Complete Higher-Degree Wave III
Following confirmation of Wave (4), a renewed bullish impulse could target:
T1: 8,057 – Initial Fibonacci/technical resistance
T2: 8,473 – Higher extension
T3: 8,782 – Extended bullish target
The upper boundary of the ascending broadening wedge provides additional structural confluence.
4. Higher-Degree Wave IV
A larger corrective phase could follow the completion of Wave III.
5. Higher-Degree Wave V
A final impulsive advance could potentially carry $SPX above 10,000, forming a major Cycle Top — subject to confirmation of the higher-degree wave structure.
Key Validation & Invalidation Levels
~7,800: Wave (b) must exceed the starting high of (a) to qualify as an Expanded Flat.
7,484: Wave (c) must terminate below the (a) low for the Expanded Flat count to remain valid.
7,250: Lower boundary of the preferred Wave (4) target region. A breakdown would require reassessing the correction depth, but is not automatically an Elliott Wave invalidation.
~7,000: Approximate Wave (1) high. A Wave (4) overlap with Wave (1) invalidates the standard impulsive count. The exact Wave (1) high must be verified.
After Wave (4) completes: A break below its confirmed low invalidates the proposed start of an impulsive Wave (5) from that low.
The key distinction: Lower-degree Waves (3)-(4)-(5) complete the larger Wave III. Only afterward would higher-degree Waves IV and V unfold.
Disclaimer: All Fibonacci projections, target zones and timing assumptions are conditional. Their exact values depend on the final termination points of the developing waves and must be recalculated as the structure evolves. The 10,000+ Cycle Top remains a speculative higher-degree scenario, not a confirmed target.

📊 Was die Positionierung verrät:

🚨SP500 | Is the low "IN"? 🤔
At least weekly momentum suggests we should not go way lower in the nearterm. Maybe sideways for more downside like in Mar/Apr 2025 or local bottom. We find out next week. Also the daily candle will probably close way outside of the bollinger band. Last times that happend we snapped back into the band the following weeks.

📊$SPX DAILY OUTLOOK | Friday, October 30, 2026
Current positioning indicates a predominantly stabilizing market structure with a slightly bullish bias.
Both overall and local Gamma are positive, supporting potential volatility compression and mean reversion. However, negative Delta exposure and proximity to the Gamma Flip introduce some directional uncertainty.
MARKET STRUCTURE
SPX Reference: 7671
Gamma Flip: 7672.50
Expected Move: ±50 points
Market Bias: Slightly Supportive
Positioning: Positive Gamma
Volatility: Compression / Mean Reversion
Breakout Risk: Medium
SPX is trading just below the Gamma Flip, making 7672–7680 the key decision area.
PRIMARY SCENARIO | ROTATION / MEAN REVERSION
Current positioning favors controlled price movements rather than sustained directional expansion.
The 7680–7700 region contains significant resistance concentrations, with 7700 representing the dominant positive Gamma level. This structure could dampen upward momentum and encourage rotational trading.
However, strong Gamma pinning at a single strike is not yet confirmed.
BULLISH SCENARIO | UPSIDE EXTENSION
A sustained reclaim above 7672–7680 could support further upside toward 7690–7700.
Upside: 7680 → 7690 → 7700 → 7721
The 7700 level represents the strongest structural resistance and a potential stabilization zone.
A confirmed breakout above 7700 could open the path toward 7721–7725.
BEARISH SCENARIO | DOWNSIDE EXPANSION
Failure to reclaim the Gamma Flip could weaken the stabilizing structure. A sustained move lower would increase downside risk, especially if Gamma turns increasingly negative.
Downside: 7672 → 7621 → 7590
The 7621 area marks the lower Expected Move boundary, while 7590 represents a deeper structural support outside the expected range.
EXPECTED MOVE
Lower Boundary: 7621
Upper Boundary: 7721
MACRO & VOLATILITY
08:30 AM ET – US Employment Cost Index
The release could trigger volatility before the market opens and change the positioning landscape.
OUTLOOK SUMMARY
Friday's positioning favors stabilization and mean reversion with a slight bullish bias.
Above 7672–7680, recovery potential toward 7700–7721 improves. Below the Gamma Flip, downside vulnerability increases.
The dominant positive Gamma concentration at 7700 could become an important area for price stabilization.
