$AMZN is planning a data center next to $VST Comanche Peak nuclear plant in Texas that would draw power directly from facility with backup generation available when the grid needs it.
What’s interesting is that Vistra could monetize AI demand through long-term contracts without waiting years for entirely new power plants to be built.

🔸 “That effort shows in our results, with Ongoing Operations Adjusted EBITDA up more than 50% year over year. This summer brought record weather across our markets, including the new all-time peak demand records in July in both ERCOT and PJM. Through that period, our fleet achieved commercial availability of nearly 95%.” — Jim Burke, president and CEO
🔸 “We also made significant progress on our growth strategy this quarter. We began commercial operations at our Pulaski and Deer Creek facilities, and signed a 20-year agreement with New Era at our Odessa plant. As the power landscape evolves, we continue to see more of these opportunities.” — Jim Burke, president and CEO

Replying to @waseeem_ch @joe31162606
CEO de Masi stated on today's Q3 call that IonQ is sold out of 256-qubit (Superion) capacity for 2027. Official release confirms strong Superion demand drove two-thirds of new IonQ Platform contracts and backlog to $1.2B, with known deals to Cambridge, FIU, SDT and NVIDIA. Exact slot counts and "cannot build one more" remain unquantified publicly.
