NEW: Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian says the SEC is cannibalizing itself with a nine-game conference schedule👀
"Any way you slice it, it’s eight more losses. So if you are fortunate enough to be part of that discussion from the committee, how much is the committee going to value one more conference game in the SEC, right?"
He added: "To some degree we put the cart before the horse."

Probably one of the Big Ten teams that don't have a P4 game scheduled for next year.
TRENDING: According to the Irish Illustrated Insider Podcast, Notre Dame is making a big scheduling change for next year and trying to add a B1G team to the schedule for Labor Day weekend.
Pete Sampson threw out the possibility of it being Notre Dame vs Oregon in Sofi Stadium on Week 2.
To make this happen Notre Dame will be moving Kent State to Week 0 (Now Week 1) and Purdue could be disappearing from the schedule as well.
If not Oregon who else could it be?

Of note in the Ole Miss infractions case: "Booster 5" from a previous case (football, Hugh Freeze Era) was disassociated in 2018 ... but never actually disassociated himself, and Ole Miss kept accepting his money from under a different business name.
He's been disassociated for real now. From the report:
"(T)he institution was required to disassociate Booster 5 from November 1, 2018, through October 31, 2021. By letter dated November 26, 2018, the institution informed Booster 5 of the disassociation terms, including that the institution could not accept financial assistance or contributions to any of its athletics programs from Booster 5 or any of his business interests.
While members of the athletics department and athletics foundation were advised not to accept
financial contributions from Booster 5 because of the infractions penalties, the institution did not effectively implement the prohibition on accepting financial contributions from Booster 5’s business interests when its athletics foundation accepted payments from a business interest that was not associated with the prior case. As a result, during the disassociation period, Booster 5 continued to make financial contributions to the institution’s athletics foundation that were related
to premium seating at the institution’s athletics events. In total, the institution’s athletics foundation accepted 18 impermissible financial contributions for its athletics program, summing to $109,240 from the business interest of Booster 5."

Why is there nobody at the SMU-Cal game? Attendance looks horrific. You’re a top-25 team!

Forty years ago I didn’t know anyone at ESPN’s personal opinion on politics. Hell, I didn’t even know their personal opinions of the athletes they covered. And I had no idea what a beautiful thing that was.

I hate to say it, but Washington feels like it is just going to be outclassed in the Big Ten unless the investment level comes way up and I’m not sure there is a path to do that. They would have been so much better off if there was a viable Pac-12 for them

Our thoughts and prayers are with former Georgia head coach Mark Richt and his family following the passing of his mother, Helen, on Friday.
Richt shared the news in a tribute to his mom:
“My Beautiful mom, Helen (Mimi) Richt is now with Jesus! She passed away at 3:33 PM today! She left a legacy of unconditional love to our family for generations to come. I love you, mom.”
God bless Helen, Coach, and the entire Richt family.

Shocked and Saddened by this news. Worked with Chris a bunch when he first came to ESPN. Such a positive and talented force who would always bring a smile to your face. He'll be missed on so many levels.
