i was invited to a home made pizza. it was better than any pizza place i ever been to. got real excited, was thinking about opening a place and hiring the guy for process and quality control. the following conversation made me think i stumbled into some weird deep dark secret...

i think i read it from @Devon_Eriksen_ that money is "f***s given" and most people, the vast majority of people don't give enough f***s about great pizza, they are perfectly satisfied with mediocre or even bad pizza for cheap (and delivery speed) as they view it as "junk food".

cutting corners and optimizing for speed and volume. boy that story sounds familiar... even places that start out strong tend to go to a quality down slope over the years as their business picks up. and usually when they open multiple joints it's game over.

I had to testify in a trial I wasn't involved in. Here's my story:

coinjoin only provides value in an unregulated / circular economy setting. coinjoin has net negative value in a regulated custodial setting.
Replying to @MrHodl @OneSirMeow
no. coinjoins would need to provide value/utility for people to use them.

it's the weirdest thing ever, but some people still think cross-input signature aggregation is doing anything interesting or useful.

the year is 2042... the us national debt is in the hundreds of trillions, the first president with an active onlyfans, Anastasia Oralia Cortez just made a huge announcement that the united states government is actively looking at "budget neutral" ways of acquiring #bitcoin!

if this is what winning the "blocksize war" looks like, i think we should have lost it.
"1. ETF or reputable custodian" can't believe i read this. this can't be f***ing happening!

first and second gen implants were super obvious. in a few iterations we will get there, that you need an expert or a lab to tell the difference.
I opened & closed every Ledger wallet The Nano X, S Plus, Flex, and Stax (attempted Gen5)… All without prior experience! You can too. And I show you how in this video (I have timestamps for each wallet on YT) youtu.be/WIuMzCgZfXI

this is inevitable if people insist on drawing the wrong conclusions. you will not win the "arms race" against people who can use AI to design a replacement PCB in an afternoon. some things seem harder to hide like an antenna, but can be sandwiched in the middle of the board.

i just can't watch people stabbing their doxxic gadgets with a knife and prying them apart. it's horrible.

rolling dice for entropy will certainly not protect you from a malicious device that can connect to the network. a faraday cage might. but that sounds really tinfoil hat isn't it?

if your phone can't connect to cellular data, then you are more likely to be okay, than not. for now...

you are damned if you buy from ledger because then all your info is leaked and you get wrenched. you are damned if you buy with cash in a store, because then you are getting supply chain attacked. you can't win. you think a PO box really protects your privacy? πŸ˜…
PSA the ledger incident isn't limited to Asia This is a device purchased in store from an official reseller in Europe (a legitimate device doesn't have any of these cables as can be seen in picture 2) This even seems to be an old version of the 'spy implant' even though the device was purchased a couple of weeks ago. The newer versions usually hide the implant by the screen so it's easier to miss What's interesting is that this compromised ledger never transfered funds to an exploiter. Either the device didn't work or they were waiting for a more widespread usage of the comprised devices? If you own a ledger that didn't directly come from the ledger online store make sure to not just rely on the software genuinely check by ledger but to actually open up the ledger yourself to make sure its original, again there are reported cases in Asia, south America and now Europe as well. @MagicalTux made some useful videos on how to open the ledger and what to look for.

fortunately bitcoin is secured by math, not doxxic gadgets you place an awfully lot of trust in.
