For all you Stroke tweeps wondering how to follow the Stroke guidelines to deimplement Bobath for task specific practice. Check out this great free lecture (and many more great resources) with @stroke_ed. An early start in the UK but well worth it. strokeed.com/event/strokeed-…

Just when I thought we were seeing some improvements the cooker became a distraction. She showed no awareness that this might be hazardous ⚠️ @RCOT_NP @StrokeImperial @MauraScanlonPsy @Simzy_x @willchegwidden #apraxia #strokerehabilitation

Fantastic conversation with passionate and inspiring reps from @ot_acp today. OTs working as Advanced Clinical Practitioners making a massive difference in a range of clinical settings. But if they were able to prescribe the impact would be even greater.

We absolutely need to get better at ensuring advanced care planning is done when patients are able to make informed choices and be fully engaged in this discussion. There are too many occasions when it is just too late. This is not acceptable 😞
People with an Advanced Care Plan have better outcomes including more likely to die in preferred place, better symptom control and better overall quality of care #GSFConf19

1 in 10 strokes are caused by bleeding in the brain. With a haemorrhagic stroke, around a third of patients will not survive longer than a month. Rebuilding lives starts with survival. And that starts with funding life-saving research. Please donate: strk.org.uk/3rEhhQJ
