Rhys Bowie was the best lefty in the Cape ⤵️
Bowie is a 2027 draft-eligible lefthander who made two starts for Bourne at the beginning of the summer, striking out 12 to three walks across 8.1 innings. He throws four- and two-seam variations of his fastball, each sitting around 94-97 mph and touching 98.
As BA's Geoff Pontes wrote, "As far as pure stuff in the Cape League this summer, it didn’t get much better than Bowie."

Real honor to work this morning in the Don Frederick’s Invitational. The play on the field all weekend perfectly embodied what Donny stood for. Great job putting this together. Donny legacy lives on through all of you! @BraintreeWamps @BCBirdBall @TheBaseballWHS @PNHS_Baseball
Jeff is the epitome of a class act. Awesome gesture by the CCBL managers tonight.
The CCBL managers honored 2024 Hall of Fame inductee and @FalCommodores longtime manager Jeff Trundy pregame.
A true legend. Gave me my first chance and no one loved the game more.
RIP.
Just received a text from Kirk Fredericks saying his father, local high school baseball icon Don Fredericks passed away this morning. Huge loss for the high school baseball community. RIP Donny

Where has accountability gone? It’s always blame the referee, blame the umpire, blame anyone but yourself for the mistake!
How about holding yourself accountable for mistakes made in the game. The endless excuse making and lack of accountability is a terrible example to set.
The rotator cuff has never been the same since this call at the plate.
Our @USGA Season Rewind brings us to the playoffs for #6! A heads up play between Jake Burley and Kolby Branch saves a run! The Gulls would go on to win Game one of Round 2 11-6 over Danbury!
