hello there, i just watched this movie that everyone seems to think is bad, but it taught me that no matter how hard we try to go back to the past, we still have to keep moving forward towards the future! :—) ✿
for two whole hours, i sat on my couch in front of the tv, enjoying my ayam penyet and americano… jujur, it was a pretty good movie, one that i could still enjoy despite its flaws. at least my weekend didn’t feel too uneventful! it had a rather sad story to tell.
“ellen holds orlok in her arms. both dead. lilacs strewn around them. orlok is just an empty shell. ellen’s face is calm, beatific - finally at peace. finally fulfilled” a tragically beautiful ending
writing this because i often find pieces of myself in characters, flowers, colours, even small things i adore like trinkets. / there’s nothing wrong with that. ♥️
