I see we're pretending this isn't the prettiest Zelda has ever been.

Wait I actually love her long flowing 1980s LadyLovelyLocks hair. Kinda reminds me of this old artwork of her from the original 1986 game.

Wow, just saw that this is getting an official release and from Vinegar Syndrome no less. That’s really cool news. This movie was awesome.

In the Dark (2000) This was an interesting SOV film. The scene of the heroine in the house actually gave me horror game vibes, especially the way she switches her weapon quickly on the stairs. Funnily enough, she also plays the original Silent Hill on PS1 a few times throughout

RIP Elke Sommer πŸ’” now I need a Mario Bava double feature rewatch of Lisa and the Devil and Baron Blood. LatD in particular is one of my favorite Bava films.

I loved this. Half J-horror/half slasher film. Interesting lead character. Creepy killer (I actually found him scarier alive than as a ghost). Likable cast. Beautiful cinematography. Great music score. Stylish and simple but effective and well made. Zero complaints from me!

Detention is such an underrated horror game, and its film adaptation is one of the rare examples of a video game movie that actually does justice to its source material. Both are haunting, atmospheric explorations of Taiwan’s history that deserve far more recognition.

Also, I really need more Taiwanese horror games from @redcandlegames

Rewatched Dementia 13 (1963) after having not seen it in a very long time. It was so much better than I remembered it. It really deserves its flowers as a spooky 60s gothic horror/proto-slasher classic.

I love when we get survival horror heroines that actually dress like humans and wear normal clothes (unlike some famous horror game franchise characters)

Sorry, but if the transformation isn’t this severe, don’t even bother tbh

Ok, I’ll eat my words. I thought the new Exorcist movie sounded awful based on what I read and the BTS pics I saw, but I really loved the trailer. The cinematography is gorgeous. The aesthetics gave me RE4/late 90s/early 00s dark autumnal horror vibes. I’m now very interested!

Other Mommy was a letdown for me. There were also scenes that were in the trailer and teasers that were not in the movie. The demon looked cool occasionally, but we didn’t get enough of that to make the movie any better…

Jane Levy returning to horror is such good news for the genre. She’s one of the most talented scream queens of the 2010s. It’s good to see her back.

Lana Winters will forever be my favorite AHS character. One of the show’s greatest final girls. Asylum is so peak.

The final shots of the Spencer Mansion and the Mamiya Mansion in Sweet Home (1989)β€”both seen from above moments before they explode. I love this little homage to the film that inspired the original Resident Evil game.
