males felt 1% of the beauty standards and started hitting their faces like retards
Russian zoomers are once again injuring themselves with hammers to get sharper cheekbones — more than 100 people have suffered injuries from “bonesmashing”
Young looksmaxxers aged 15–26 believe that hitting their cheekbones and chins will make their bones more prominent and their faces more masculine. Even grown men up to the age of 45 are engaging in this practice.
In reality, one young man suffered a haemorrhage, while another experienced numbness in part of his face. The blows can damage nerves and fracture the jaw and cheekbones.
Repeated injuries can lead to fibrosis, which may require surgery to correct.

Purdue IDEAS Lab is building woke 2.0
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.
chaebols be like “lets put our flight attendants’ school right next to our naval architecture department” and a mf will still find a crashout psychologist to marry instead
suburbs with hilariously well funded public schools are The American Brooding Ground, after which young elites fly away to spend their twenties in Dynamic Environments, be they The Big City or Da Rig, wherein they find a mate to return to the brooding grounds with in their 30s

That's the best thing about aerospace. No matter how dumb an idea you can come up with, if you can come up with a way it's halfway plausible, somebody will already have written a paper, submitted a proposal, and probably even built some sort of demonstrator in the '60s.
AI jits talk about “reward hacking” as if that’s not literally the very first thing taught in engineering school
