Ana ⁸ 🏴‍☠️ drip | VAI VER O ATEEZ

What is the "Black Parade"? While looking for details in the concept photos dropped today, instead of Halateez, I ran into a completely different Ateez? Then I saw the term "Black Parade" on my timeline and immediately looked into it. In music history, "The Black Parade" is most famously tied to My Chemical Romance's iconic album representing death, grief, resistance, and a dark procession led in military-style uniforms by those fighting for a cause. So what does this have to do with Ateez? In my opinion, the tall headpieces the members are wearing (shako/marching band hats) combined with the sharp, epauletted military-cut uniforms create an unmistakable marching band silhouette. These hats covering their eyes give off that signature masked identity and anonymous army vibe once again. On top of that, ATEEZ has actually tapped into this marching band motif before. Back in the TREASURE EP.FIN : All to Action ("Wonderland") era, they marched alongside a massive marching band in tailored military uniforms. But while that was a fierce crimson/burgundy march, here it seems to have evolved into a stark, monochromatic, and far harsher "Black Parade." They also align perfectly with the skeletons we saw in the teaser. However, here is my main theory: There have been so many turning points and ruptures in the universe up to this point. Swapping dimensions and timelines over and over with the Cromer must have broken something fundamental, and I feel like in this era we might actually be seeing an entirely different Ateez as the "Black Parade"??? Of course, these are just theories, but considering Ateez's official account just updated their layout with a cracked icon and header, I'm fully convinced there are literal cracks forming across the universe right now 🙂‍↔️
