Happy 💯birthday to Col. (Ret) Gail Halvorsen, aka "The Candy Bomber"🍬 known for dropping candy in addition to supplies during “Operation Vittles” during Berlin Airlift, 1948-1949. The Op delivered 2M tons of supplies to W. Berlin, & 20 tons of sweets, bringing smiles to kids 🙂
