In 1757, Ahmad Shah ordered the manufacture of a cannon using the Jazia collected from every Hindu household in Lahore. He used this cannon during the Battle of Panipat, 1761. Later Sirdar Hari Singh Bhangi captured it in 1762 and the cannon came to be known as Bhangian Wala Top.
