𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 🏗️ A major new culvert will carry Hen Brook and a public footpath beneath the A421. Nearly 6m high, 7m wide and 34.5m long, it includes a 3m-wide footpath and low-flow channel to support wildlife. 💧

An update on B1046 Potton Road bridge. 🏗️ The bridge is expected to open to traffic by April 2027. They'll be no impact on the opening of the new dual carriageway.

The new southern bridge at Black Cat junction opened to traffic yesterday morning! 🎉 This change to the road layout will allow us to move on to the next stage of the Black Cat upgrade. It will also form part of the final junction layout when the new roundabout opens to traffic.

We've been lifting huge beams into place for the new A421 flyover at Black Cat junction. Each beam weighs 60 tonnes and is longer than three double-decker buses. Opening in spring 2027, the flyover will help make journeys quicker, safer and more reliable. 🏗️

Last week, we lifted and installed the first brace pair of beams for the new A421 flyover at Black Cat – a major milestone! 🏗️👷‍♀️ We've now installed the first five beam pairs, each weighing 60 tonnes and measuring 38m long. All 15 beam pairs will be in place by the end of July.
