The Feeding Hope event, presented by @MandT_Bank, was extremely successful, uplifting, and full of hope. We thank our event supporters who came together to raise over $85,000 to help our food-insecure neighbors fill their tables with fresh, nutritious food.

Food insecurity has continued to grow after the pandemic, and we are grateful that County Executive Pittman's proposed FY24 budget addresses the needs of our residents with $1 million of funding to support the Anne Arundel County Food Bank.

Recently we celebrated another 24 pallets of frozen protein donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which was delivered to the @aafoodbank. Additionally, Courtney Buiniskis of the Office of the County Executive presented an Executive Citation!

That’s why I will sign an executive order creating a new Anne Arundel County Food Council, and am proposing in this budget a coordinating position at @AACoPartnership and budgeting an additional $1M for our @aafoodbank at Crownsville.
