Despite saying he’s all for sun safety, Nic’s comment says it all ‘not if it’s going to ruin my tan’. ⬇️ What a great role model for people under 40y - NOT.
According to our Austs of the Year @ProfGLongMIA & @ProfRAScolyer, #melanoma experts, there’s nothing healthy about a tan.

It was fantastic to bring our ACEMID team together in Sydney last week for the ACEMID researcher workshop, diving into the IMAGE trial and our work in genetics, pathology, and biomarkers 🔬🧬
One of the many highlights of #AMC2024 was meeting @JeffGershenwald, Chair of the 8th Edn AJCC Melanoma Staging Panel!
As @AMSCA_Mel Chair, it was a fabulous opportunity to showcase the achievements of our 11 melanoma & skin cancer Alliance member organisations at #AMC2024. But, to discover the hidden dramatic arts talents of our consumers during the debate in the same session was priceless!
Day 1 of #AMC2024 wrapped up with a lively debate: 'Patient advocacy & consumer representation are just a tick box exercise'. Very entertaining, with academy-award worthy role play! The negative team won, confirming consumer input is NOT simply a tick-the-box exercise.
Having attended & presented at many midwifery, nursing, diabetes conferences over the years, this year’s #AMC2024 would have to rank as #1. Congratulations @MelanomaAus
During #AMC2024 opening @ProfGLongMIA & @ProfRScolyerMIA reflected on how the melanoma landscape has changed & the roadmap to reach zero deaths from melanoma, including consistent sun smart messaging, national targeted skin cancer screening, advancing treatment & supportive care.
One of the many brilliant sessions at the #AMC2024.
Inspiring #AMC2024 discussions: 'Overview of peri-operative systemic therapies'- neodjuvant therapy, histopathology & surgery considerations, personalised vaccines, clinical stage II & III melanoma @amenzies9 @Robbotommo @davidgyorki @inespiresilva #VictoriaAtkinson #RobertRawson
