UIST is an amazing meeting of the minds in #HCI—big conference this year in Korea (record number of submissions I hear!), so I think it will be quite exciting! we all see how big CHI became but growth at #UIST2025 is more palpable—the first UISTs I went to were all single track!

From AI-generated instructional support to multimodal interfaces and assistive robotics, these technologies hold the potential to break down long-standing barriers in cooking, personal care, creative expression, and beyond.
Our upcoming UIST 2025 Workshop on Accessible Cyber-Physical Systems will bring together researchers across HCI, accessibility, AI, AR/VR, and assistive robotics to chart this future. Through talks, panels, and collaborative brainstorming, we’ll explore how to design technologies that support the goals.

The UIST Visions track is one of my favorite across all conferences I attend! I’m glad I worked up the courage to submit last year—not only was it ton of fun, but it yielded such generative conversations!
So take it from me: if you’re early-career/pre-tenure, submit something!!
