I worked with Dean when I was at Halton Region. He was always a pleasure, and always dedicated to serving our local community. Congratulations! @ChiefGSage #haltonregion #Paramedics
I like this hashtag and message. It's got the elements we train about when writing messages that are simple and will spread: a bit of humour, a twist on a common saying, a little unexpected with slightly colourful language. #safe6ix #COVID19
Are you practising #Safe6ix? Although gathering limits increased in Stage 3, it remains important to keep 6 feet from anyone outside your social bubble & wear your mask when you cannot maintain your distance & in indoor public places.
I can't ever share these warnings with my youngest. They freak her out. She dives for cover and puts on noise-cancelling headphones with any hint of thunder.
BREAKING NEWS: Environment Canada warns there is a risk of a #tornado in #Oakville and #Burlington and is telling residents they should 'take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches': torstar.co/Pnaj50AQT6W
.@RedbrickComms has an incredible set up for virtual quality training. This is @brianlambie in his heaven - creating practical solutions that work and making things happen for our clients. #virtualtraining
Back in the office tonight for some remote #SocialMedia #Training. Spooky quiet, but our new set-up purs like a Ferrari. Nice to be back in the boardroom! @RedbrickComms

SHOOTING - BURLINGTON
Police have responded to a shooting on Woodview Rd. (New St./ Walkers Line).
One victim w/ serious injuries.
Two possible suspects have fled on foot.
AREA RESIDENTS ASKED TO SHELTER IN PLACE.
Great idea for the #frontlineclap in #BurlON to show appreciation for front line health workers, other first responders, and anyone else still working to keep us fed and healthy. I'll clap 'til my hands are sore. #ThankYou @DTBurlingtonON bit.ly/2xIB8as
Great to see such strong recognition for paramedics. Of the 3 first responders (with police & fire ) we don't hear as much about those who are the 1st to medical calls, especially during #Covid_19. #Paramedics often don't have the choice to social distance. #covidheros
Sharing strong messaging when I see it. This is clear on what to do and not to do. #COVID19 #COVIDActNow

Social distancing measures in Canada could be in place for months, Canada's health minister said today. Patty Hajdu warned that not following the measures in place now could lead to more strict measures later to confine people to their homes. #COVID19
As with simple visuals, simple gifs are powerful especially on times of crisis. This is excellent. #COVIDー19 #StayHome #FlattenTheCuve #BurlON #haltonON

_ @cityburlington Want more riders on City transit? Look at what Kingston is doing. An amazing shift.
Kingston has developed a simple but powerful model to transform public transportation & it starts with training youth. A couple months ago, I gave a Tedx talk in Ottawa on this & I am very pleased to report the video is now live. Check it out here: youtu.be/BoQE_Tu0gTg
As a mother of three teenagers, they see vaping everyday at school. It shouldn't be everywhere else too. I'm thrilled to see @regionofpeel working with locals to ban vaping in public spaces. @RegionofHalton pls do the same.

The students kept me on my toes. It was fun, and their insights were well aligned with what we've been hearing from the "adults."
If youth are going to stay and live in your municipality, let them have a voice in your strategic planning. That's why @ACPMonty was at Parry Sound High School this morning. Great insights from 12 students.
We've done a deeper dive with @RedbrickComms 2019 Social Media Survey looking into how municipalities are using social media now - case studies, resources, number of channels managed and more. I just did final edits today. So, stay tuned!
A snippet from @RedbrickComms 2019 Municipal Social Media Survey. Coming soon. @summersdirect @municomconf delegates get it with the presentations link tomorrow. Great conference. Glad to be part of it. #onpoli #socialmedia
Just had a fun social media session with a highly engaged group at #onpha2019. Wonderful questions. Grateful to have had the opportunity. #redbrickcomms #socialmedia
.@Acer I've been dropped 3x on the phone with your Cdn tech support today wasting over 1hr of my time. I've tried to talk to a spvr and no one has tried to call me back. I'm frustrated. I have a computer that has been unusable longer than usable. It is less than 10 mo. old.
