🚨Breaking! The European Parliament just called for rules to tackle addictive design of online services! My report was adopted with 545 votes in favour. The Parliament is clear. Europe has to lead the way. Now it's up to the Commission to turn this into proposals.

Today, the EU Parliament will vote on a report on the 2018 geo-blocking regulation, calling on the Commission to review the regulation to see if AV services can be included in its scope. Despite what rightsholders claim, ending geo-blocking is unlikely to kill cultural diversity.

EU states that violate the rule of law should not receive EU funds. We have a mechanism for this but the @EU_Commission is failing to use it. I have therefore asked our services to prepare a lawsuit against the Commission to ensure rules are enforced. eptwitter.eu/q32Q
