This is like saying the Glee pilot pulled Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey out of obscurity
Opinión impopular: Glee puso muchas canciones en el radar con sus covers, pero la manera que saco del olvido GO YOU OWN WAY de Fleetwood Mac es historico.

I call upon all Americans to express their outrage and refusal to accept this from the country who thinks a breaded and fried chicken breast served on a bun is called a “chicken burger”
Food in America is just not very good. You’ll end up disappointed if you try eating somewhere nice. Sticking to their ‘low cuisine’ (which they do quite well, and is also very well-priced) is by far your best option despite this being exceptionally unhealthy.

“It’s the other team’s job to stop it” logic is something I can accept about, say, a late TD to win 38-15 instead of 31-15 in a Big Ten game, but not to “onside kick with a 57-0 lead in the 2nd quarter of a high school game against a team with 13 guys dressed”

…it’s okay (to an extent) to keep passing in the second half with a big lead if that’s part of your regular offense and you want the backups to get some practice running your regular offense.

But an onside kick with a 57-0 lead and 13 guys dressed on the other team has no possible explanation beyond “we’re just trying to embarrass them” and that is not a person I would want coaching my kids.

It’s funny because normally I think my countrymen’s dedication to American exceptionalism makes us look arrogant or clueless but this is one case where we are just objectively correct and everyone else is wrong
The British Commonwealth needs to understand that a burger is a ground meat patty. The kind of bread it's on is irrelevant. A beef patty on white bread is a burger. A fried chicken sandwich is not. A chicken sandwich with a patty made from ground chicken is a chicken burger.

Tremendous PR for the University of Pittsburgh - mentioned as an elite university by the Vice President alongside Harvard and Yale!
JD Vance: "Some of America's most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut the wages of American residents. There are 9 universities in particular that we believe merit an investigation. Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg, UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT."

Alum of both CMU and Pitt here; really amused that the Pittsburgh based school here they have chosen to target on this issue is *Pitt* lol

Every star player does have talent, of course, it’s a necessary but not sufficient condition to be a star. But Kobe is one of the funniest possible examples to use if you’re trying to make a point about talent over work ethic. He was famous for his insane work ethic!
Replying to @_themoman
Disagree! We value lunch “lunch pail guys” but I’ve never heard ppl say “Kobe practice 18 footers for 7 hours every day” Maybe he did! But we mythologize the greats for greatness not grit

Kobe saw himself as a successor to MJ, another guy who notoriously had “just regular pretty good NBA player” size & measurables that famously worked so much harder than everyone else that it caused tension with teammates b/c he couldn’t relate to them not caring as much as he did

A&M has over 62,000 undergrads. Northwestern has about 9,000 undergrads. Maybe it makes sense for colleges to have stadiums that are appropriately sized for their enrollment and fanbase instead of just the biggest possible?
Kyle Field holds THREE TIMES as many people as this high school stadium. A 30,000 seat stadium would NEVER be allowed in the SEC.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ryan Field’s capacity is 35,000 – the same size as Vanderbilt’s FirstBank Stadium en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Fiel… newryanfield.com en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FirstBank…

One funny thing about College Football Discourse: SEC fans will use results like Indiana-Northwestern to ridicule the B1G (“can you believe your Big Bad struggles to put away NORTHWESTERN?”) but then cite any close game between a bottom-tier SEC team and top-tier one as…

…evidence of how deep their conference is, even though there’s no real evidence there is much difference between Kentucky / Vandy / Auburn type teams and Minnesota / Illinois / Michigan State type teams.
