Top team-mate (and captain) from school football and the @OldStationersFC for around forty years; and he now regularly beats me at golf despite giving me many, many shots!?!
Ian Meyrick with his much deserved 50 years of service to football award from the FA. Thanks to @bob_leeds President of the @TheSAL1907 for doing the honours .
@MiddlesexCCL. Dan’s review of week six in Division One referred to the Southgate win against Osterley as the number eleven was ‘unable’ to face the last ball of the game and was ‘timed out’. – at East, England
@TheDanHough asked what would have happened if the ninth wicket had been taken on the last ball of the game with the number eleven ‘absent’. My view is match drawn as the (absent) number eleven has not been required to bat. – at East, England

I was on the line last night at @BSFC_Official for the @AmateurFC v @TheSAL1907 rep. game for the Argonaut Trophy. Sean Friel, from my old club @OldStationersFC, was in goal for the @TheSAL1907; and I’m trying to work out the last @OldStationersFC to play rep team football?
Sean then probably made his only mistake of the game (coming for a free-kick but not getting there), which allowed the @AmateurFC to equalise with 10 mins left. However, he made up for his error with a fantastic one on one save 3 mins into added time which took the game to pens.
@AmateurFC scored their first three. With two of the first three @TheSAL1907 kicks being saved, the @AmateurFC needed to convert their 4th or 5th pen to win. However, Sean saved both and their 7th, whilst his team-mates scored four in a row to give the @TheSAL1907 a 5-4 victory.
On the line at @BSFC_Official for the @AmateurFC v @TheSAL1907 in the Argonaut Trophy. Sean Friel in goal for the @OldStationersFC; trying to work out who last played rep team football?
So, so, sorry to hear that. Junior was a fantastic player and umpire in the @MiddlesexCCL, but more importantly, was a truly inspiring individual. My condolences to all of his family. RIP Junior
With the @barnsleybeast bowling?

I have so many memories of Pele, without doubt the best footballer I ever played against (with Bobby Moore being the best footballer I ever played alongside). For me Pele remains the greatest of all time and I was proud to be on the the pitch with him. RIP Pele and thank you.
Having beaten the @OBC1913 Senior Cup holders @OldFinchleianFC in the First Round last Saturday, let's hope we get to see a good performance from the @OldStationersFC First XI against relatively newbie's in the @TheSAL1907, @NUFCOilers tomorrow.
Next up …..
