🌍 Scaling AI for Agricultural Impact in Africa & Asia 🤖🌾 I was delighted to participate in the AgX Unconference — an inspiring, high-energy convening focused on scaling AI-driven advisory services to drive sustainable agricultural development and empower smallholder producers across Africa and Asia. This wasn’t your typical event — it was a truly participatory gathering designed to equip a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders with the tools, insights, and dialogue needed to navigate the fast-evolving AI and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) landscape in low- and middle-income countries. 🔑 Key Takeaways: •Data quality is essential to AI effectiveness — but so is building interoperable, inclusive, and accessible DPIs that enable meaningful solutions. •Developing agriculture-focused AI tools must be human-centered, inclusive, and locally contextualized — not just tech for tech’s sake. •As one participant told me after the event, “I came in skeptical, but I’m leaving convinced we can do this.” The building blocks are already in place. Now we need collective action and political will to shape the future we imagine. 🙌🏽 It was a pleasure to meet digital agriculture champions like Benjamin Kwasi Addom, PhD, Jawoo Koo, and Brian King in person — looking forward to future collaborations!
