The protection and promotion of the rights of intersex children remain a critical priority. To advance this cause, the Association of Intersex Parenthood joined other stakeholders in a coordination meeting convened by the The National Gender and Equality Commission-Kenya today.
This meeting provided a vital platform to reflect on the lived realities of intersex children, highlight pressing protection concerns, and examine existing legal and policy gaps.

The Cabinet Secretary of Gender,Culture and Children Services represented by PS CPA Carren Ageng'o and PS Anne Wang'ombe hosted a consultative meeting with the Association of Intersex Parenthood Kenya (AIP).
The meeting brought together key Government representatives and stakeholders to discuss collaborative approaches to advancing the rights, dignity, and inclusion of intersex persons and their families.
Discussions focused on the progress of the Intersex Persons Bill, strengthening legal and policy frameworks, enhancing public awareness, and fostering multi-sectoral collaboration to improve access to services and protection for intersex children and adults.
Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services remains committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure every child, including intersex children and adults enjoys equal protection, access to services, and the opportunity to thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
