It was a historic moment for AJC to meet with Pope Leo XIV, who reaffirmed his ironclad commitment to confronting antisemitism and his dedicated allyship with Jewish communities around the world. The Jewish people are not in this fight alone. jewishinsider.com/2026/10/aj…

We forcefully condemn the terrorist attack, which was allegedly linked to Hamas, against an IDF position outside Hebron in the West Bank. Two Israeli soldiers were killed and three others wounded in the attack. Our thoughts are with the families of the fallen soldiers, and we wish the wounded soldiers a full and speedy recovery. We are grateful to the IDF for its swift action in stopping the terrorists and preventing an even larger attack. We stand with Israel against terrorism. May the memories of the fallen soldiers be a blessing.

“Jewish people must be able to live, worship and educate their children without fear.” During a meeting at the Vatican with AJC leaders, Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin reaffirmed the Holy See's firm rejection of antisemitism in every form, emphasizing the shared responsibility to confront prejudice and protect Jewish communities. With a relationship spanning more than a century, AJC and the Catholic Church continue to build on a longstanding commitment to dialogue, mutual understanding, and stronger Jewish-Catholic relations. osservatoreromano.va/it/news…

AJC Central Europe Institute was honoured to partner with the @IsraelinPoland for a special Gala Evening paying tribute to Polish Righteous Among the Nations Antonina Kraśnicka and Natalia Kosko, whose courage saved the life of Basia Rochman, a Jewish baby girl, during the Holocaust. “The Righteous had the ability to restore something the Shoah had shattered: faith in humanity and trust in the goodness of another human being,” said @yadvashem Chairman @AmbDaniDayan. Antonina and Natalia were among the thousands of Polish men and women who risked everything to save Jewish lives during the Holocaust. Today, Poles represent the largest number of Righteous Among the Nations recognised by Yad Vashem. Their courage commands our enduring gratitude. At a time when antisemitism, hatred and polarisation are again on the rise, their stories speak to us with renewed urgency. They remind us what is right, what is wrong, and of the courage it takes to stand on the right side of humanity.

We are grateful to @Pontifex Leo XIV for welcoming @AJCCEO Ted Deutch, President Bobby Lapin, and Director of Interreligious Affairs Rabbi Noam Marans, alongside dozens of AJC leaders, to the Vatican. During the papal audience, the delegation presented the Pope with artwork celebrating the historic bond between the Jewish people and the Catholic Church, including the landmark 1965 Nostra Aetate declaration, which transformed Catholic-Jewish relations. As a longtime leader in Catholic-Jewish relations, AJC is proud to continue building understanding and strengthening ties between our communities. We thank Pope Leo for his friendship and support for Jewish communities around the world, and wish him a speedy recovery and good health. ajc.org/news/ajc-leaders-mee…

AJC strongly condemns the reported attack by Israeli extremists on a diplomatic convoy near Taybeh in the West Bank. Violence against diplomats is not acceptable, as is the broader pattern of extremist attacks against Palestinians, IDF soldiers, security personnel, and journalists in the West Bank. We welcome the arrests made by Israeli authorities, and continue to call for full accountability for those who commit violence. As we have repeatedly said, concrete steps must be taken to prevent further violence.

AJC was proud to help provide lifesaving aid to Ukraine by sponsoring an ambulance delivered by our partners at the United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio. The ambulance traveled as part of an international volunteer convoy from Munich through Europe to western Ukraine, bringing critical humanitarian assistance to communities impacted by Russia’s illegal war. As Putin’s assault continues, AJC stands firmly with Ukraine and calls on the international community to bolster its support.

We strongly condemn the recent violence in which Israeli extremists attacked Palestinians, burned olive trees, and injured a Washington Post photographer. We wish Heidi Levine a full and speedy recovery from her injuries. We call for an urgent, coordinated effort from Israeli authorities to bring an end to the wave of Israeli extremist violence that has harmed civilians throughout the West Bank. Order must be restored, and violent extremists prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Yesterday, together with members of the Jewish community, representatives of state authorities, institutions and the diplomatic corps, and all those who care, we gathered at the Nożyk Synagogue to pay tribute to the 1,200 people murdered on October 7. Their names were read aloud, and we recited Kaddish. We honor their memory, as well as the memory of all those lost in the aftermath of that horrific day. We remember. We mourn. We stand together.

Three years ago, Hamas attacked Israel, murdering more than 1,200 people and taking over 200 hostages. Today we remember those whose lives were taken — among them Polish citizens Alex Dancyg, Oded Lifshitz and others — and all the families whose lives were irrevocably changed. To remember is to insist that every life has a name, a story, and a dignity that violence can never erase. We must never allow terrorism to be justified, minimized, or forgotten.

Three years ago, Hamas terrorists slaughtered more than 1,200 Israelis and citizens of 40+ other countries. They raped, tortured, maimed, and kidnapped as many people as they could. Babies, children, moms, dads, the elderly—no one was spared. We remember the victims of this horrific massacre, the worst atrocity committed against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and the 2,400+ killed over the last three years.

Building durable, cross-party support for Israel across the Atlantic is more critical than ever. We are proud to expand AJC’s Transatlantic Friends of Israel (TFI) network to Cyprus, bringing together parliamentarians, diplomats, and business leaders to strengthen support for Israel across the political spectrum. Cyprus became the 5th TFI chapter, joining TFI EU, TFI Italy, TFI Austria, and TFI US. The launch of TFI Cyprus this week brought together Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. @CKombos, TFI Cyprus Chair Nikolas Papadopoulos, Cypriot MPs, and Ambassadors from Israel and the United States, marking a new chapter in East Mediterranean cooperation.

We are grateful for the heroic actions of those on board the Israel-bound FlyDubai flight, including the pilot and passengers, who helped prevent a devastating tragedy. We thank the Israeli, Emirati, and Saudi authorities whose cooperation helped bring the plane to a safe landing and save many innocent lives. This cooperation underscores the importance of continued progress toward regional normalization and the role stronger regional ties can play in advancing peace, prosperity, and security.
