BREAKING: Yemen's Houthis have directly struck an Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon at King Fahd Air Base in Ta'if, Saudi Arabia, the first European fighter jet ever hit by the Houthis, with Italy's Ministry of Defence confirming the F-2000 was hit while parked in a remote area of the base.
Italy deployed four Typhoons to Ta'if in March with about 400 personnel across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, and the base has faced repeated Houthi missile and drone attacks in recent weeks. Two days after the Houthis shot down a Saudi F-15SA over Marib, the war in Yemen has reached a NATO member's aircraft on Saudi soil.

BREAKING: American Airlines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines are now cancelling certain flights, scaling back flight capacity and adjusting schedules due to the sharp surge in fuel costs, with American Airlines saying the latest jump in fuel prices alone is adding about $1 billion to its fourth-quarter costs, per Reuters.
Southwest has already cut its planned 2026 capacity growth roughly in half and could trim further, with its CFO saying that if fuel is "higher for longer," cutting capacity is the "natural response." United said yesterday it will cancel December flights and could cut into the first quarter and 2027, with its CFO saying "we are not flying to maximize market share."
US jet fuel is now at $4.70 a gallon, up 108% since the war began.

BREAKING: More US service members have died in the Middle East during the Iran war than the Trump administration has publicly disclosed, with five US officials putting the toll at a minimum of 22 deaths and a sixth at 23 since February 28, at least four more than the 18 listed in the Pentagon's public casualty database, per six US officials to WaPo.
Three US contractors based in the region have also died, and more than 820 service members have been wounded in action, many with traumatic brain injuries from Iranian strikes on US bases.
Over the summer, when 4 combat deaths were temporarily excluded from the database, the Trump administration reclassified the renewed hostilities with Iran as Overseas Operations rather than Operation Epic Fury to portray the war as a success at the cost of US casualties.

BREAKING: The US has warned its allies to expect delays of up to 5 years on key purchased weapons deliveries due to catastrophically exhausting its own stocks in the Iran war, with Germany told to wait 5 years for Tomahawks and Japan told its Tomahawks would be delayed by up to 2 years, per Bloomberg.
The US has used more than half of its most advanced Patriot variants, a third of its Tomahawks, and almost half of its precision strike missiles and THAAD interceptors in Iran, with as much as two-thirds of the entire US missile defense interceptor inventory used up.
Pentagon officials have told their own inspector general the firing rate "has resulted in strategic inventory shortfalls and revealed industrial base bottlenecks."
Ukraine's Patriot requests are being squeezed by the same shortage ahead of winter, and Eastern European deliveries have slipped since February 28.

BREAKING: The Trump administration is weighing pulling up to 40,000 US troops out of Europe, including air, naval, and ground forces, along with planes, ships and weapons, half of the 80,000-strong US presence and the most significant scaling back since the 1990s, with the cuts set to directly hit Germany, Italy and Spain, per five sources to NBC.
All three host the bulk of US forces in Europe and have clashed with Trump over the Iran war. Just hours ago the US warned allies that weapons they have already bought, including Germany's Tomahawks, will be delayed by up to 5 years because US stocks were exhausted in the Iran war. Europe may now lose the troops too.
