I've always wondered about this! The Liquidator is a big one in the UK, a few football teams have it as their song.
Ugh, the OG by Paulinho da Costa is fire... youtu.be/24JOx1g0-Ig?si=6Ql1…
Thes has said that there was some personal beef between them (over a woman iirc) which is why this beat battle was a bit more lively 😂
There’s this one (sidebar: the end of this show scared me so much as a child that EWF couldn’t be played in the house for a while) youtu.be/OA-yeGbjqo4?si=pQ_v…
Classic! This is another one of hers that’s 🔥 - big with the jazz dancers youtu.be/1eJhWRVwIlI?si=_B-n…
Useless fact of the day: Grace Jones went to the Thorntons factory in Belper to get the chocolate heads made.

Damn!
Proper bit of history now. A UK Soundclash between two of the best. 39 years ago:
This is The Wild Bunch (@MassiveAttackUK) v Soul II Soul Soundclash 31.12.87
The collective that would become Massive Attack versus a superb early collective. Cassette aesthetic, proper history clash business. Second time The Wild Bunch have been on the page, I'll link the other in comments.
Reminder that all mixes uploaded here today go on my Kofi for download tonight.
