Ten years after I first began my journey of personal health transformation, losing over 100 pounds along the way, later speaking at conferences and even writing a book, I am proud to now serve as a community ambassador for the @AMHSorg . amhs.org.au/news/my-health-j…

Whole milk... is back! 45 years of government policy telling us only to drink only skim/low-fat. We're so lucky for that nonsense to be over
DRINK WHOLE MILK.
On this #NationalMilkDay, I’m especially thankful for the men and women who make it possible - our dairy farmers. 🐄
Milk nourishes us from the very beginning, and whole milk remains one of nature’s most simple, nutrient-dense foods!!! 🥛💪
Today, we celebrate the families who rise early, work late, and help keep America healthy one glass at a time.
Happy National Milk Day!!! 🇺🇸

One of the key parts of the new US Dietary guidelines: a warning the public about the very real nutrient deficiencies that come with vegetarian and especially vegan diets.
People on these diets don't realize (bc authorities have never told them) that they are risking their health eating this way.

Ultra-processed foods are out. Whole, nutrient-dense foods are in.
This will transform the American dietary culture and Make America Healthy Again.

Keto and carnivore share the same foundation: fewer carbs.
The difference is complexity.
Keto works for many.
Carnivore removes variables when symptoms persist.
It’s not about being stricter — it’s about clarity.

It’s long overdue for the Dietary Guidelines to include a low-carbohydrate option for the vast majority of Americans with diet-related diseases.

📜Pleased to see my paper on "Metabolic Overdrive" in bipolar disorder featured twice in the new Springer @Nature Metabolic Neuropsychiatry Book. Highlighting the rationale and new evidence in favour of it.

If I am lactose intolerant,I avoid lactose to lead a normal life.
If I am type 2 diabetic, I am carbohydrate intolerant.
So I avoid carbohydrates to lead a normal life.
Or take medications for the rest of my life
& deal with the disease.
Why is there even a choice here?

Can food be a treatment tool in youth mental illness? 🧠
Join Children's Mental Health Resource Center on October 15 at 4:30 PM PST for a new clinical seminar: Ketogenic Therapy: Pilot Study Results, a panel discussion featuring researchers and individuals with firsthand experience of this promising intervention.
As youth mental health challenges grow and access to care remains limited, families are urgently seeking safe, effective options
While evidence continues to link metabolic therapy to improved psychiatric outcomes, access, especially for children, remains a significant barrier.
This session takes a deeper look at ketogenic therapy and why metabolic interventions deserve a more prominent place in the conversation around care.
👥 Designed for mental and physical healthcare providers, educators, and others who work with children, but is open to the general public

Note the average estimated age in these studies was 43 years old. The prevalence of calcified arteries seems similar to modern society males. I am not arguing LDL is not causal, but that the LDL-C was likely higher than we think, that clinical (not to mention subclinical) atherosclerosis was unrecognized and that atherosclerosis is complex and cannot be explained only by LDL-C.
Its nearly impossible to study hunter gatherers in modern times to make conclusions they have no atherosclerosis. Its difficult to gather robust data and many die of other etiologies. The evidence from CT scans of calcified arteries form mummies from multiple ancient peoples, many of whom presumably had low LDL-C, suggest atherosclerosis was very common. These data with direct imaging are likely more robust than any epidemilogy data.

Whole milk is making a comeback in US schools after 50 years. Good science, shifting guidelines, and political will are overturning decades of “low-fat” dogma. Is the saturated fat tide finally turning? nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/is-… @AMHSorg #metabolichealth

In NZ, Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) pay medical clinics $155 per T2D patient to start insulin, but $0 for reversal. No incentive for prevention! In a system built on 15-min consults, geared to quick, prescription-driven medicine, there’s no time to talk lifestyle. The system is broken. We have a better way. @winstonpeters we just want 5 minutes of your time.

Are you worried about normal people shovelling 300 g of refined carbs? Insulin activates mTOR for longer than methionine. High protein low carb leads to satiety/ less frequent meals/ easier fasting ( fasting helps autophagy).
