International Criminal Court member states do the right thing and vote overwhelmingly (82 to 13 with 15 abstentions) to dismiss chief prosecutor Karim Khan in light of the allegations against him of serious sexual misconduct. With enemies like Trump and Netanyahu, the ICC needs a credible prosecutor to fight back, not one tainted like Khan. That is the best way to advance the full range of cases that deserve pursuit, including Israel's genocide in Gaza, Putin's bombing of civilians in Ukraine, the UAE's aiding and abetting the genocidal Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, Rwanda's backing of the highly abuse M23 rebels in eastern Congo, and Trump's sanctions as obstruction of justice.

Trump is worried about the International Criminal Court because he could be charged for the summary execution of drug suspects, aiding and abetting Israel's genocide, or obstructing justice by imposing sanctions on ICC officials. trib.al/ZY5s4lI

Former Haitian president Michel Martelly has arrived back in Haiti — with clear ambitions for another run at the presidency. Despite being sanctioned by the US for alleged involvement in drug trafficking, he has been living in Florida in recent years, waiting for the right time to return.

Marco Rubio's attacks on the International Criminal Court are no surprise. As Secretary of State, he has been the chief architect of the Trump administration's assault on international human rights, writes @amklasing in @ForeignPolicy: bit.ly/4f4Xg1f

Over the past 18 months, Rubio has led an all-out assault on human rights in U.S. statecraft, mostly bypassing Congress to do so. foreignpolicy.com/2026/07/08…

More than 200 people are dead just nine months into this illegal operation. We have no transparency. No accountability. And a general who doesn’t even defend the efficacy of it. Success?

It is a baffling admission that this cruel and lethal program is targeting these boats based on criteria other than being in possession of the very items purported in the administration’s already unlawful and dubious justification. lnk.thebulwark.com/3PYDQkV

Drinking water installations are quintessentially “objects indispensable to survival,” a category with heightened protection in international law.
Attacks directed against such installations are presumptively unlawful.
This report strongly indicates precision strikes on two.
NEW: Our visual analysis suggests the United States hit two drinking-water facilities overnight in southern Iran with precision-guided munitions. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime. w/ @ckoettl @johnismay @ArtemisChats

"Murder as Policy" USA has now killed over 200 people in military strikes on boats in the Caribbean & eastern Pacific, claiming, without evidence, they were engaged in “narco-trafficking” operations.
Critical insights from my colleague @AMKlasing on these extrajudicial killings;
The U.S. has killed more than 200 people in over 60 strikes on boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, claiming without evidence that the boats were engaged in narcotrafficking. Amanda Klasing (@AMKlasing) of @amnestyusa says these are extrajudicial killings that constitute murder. “U.S. taxpayers should be outraged, absolutely outraged, that their money is going to murder as a policy,” says Klasing.
