3D targets simulation: The SimRadFast3D the importance of double bounces The SimRadFast3D extension is devoted to generating large training datasets to train #AI models.

This exploits the computer graphics to speed up the data generation, allowing the creation of a small SAR image in a few minutes. In the video we focus on the Fast3D extension and its capability to simulate small SAR images similar to real acquisitions.

The fast3D simulations reported highlight how the single e and multiple bounces contribute to the target’s features in a hashtag#SAR image, here compared to real acquisitions of Capella Space. This closes the gap of supervised method based on SAR images: the #data availability.

We collected photos and SAR data acquired by Capella Space to provide very specific inputs for creating the .stl file, essential input for our end-to-end simulator. This file includes details as roughness, surface characteristics, variety of materials, and dielectric constant.

In video we go through the steps of tailoring the image until it is similar to that acquired by SAR. This confirms our end-to-end SAR simulator chain generates accurate #SAR images, closely matching reality. More precise the target model is, more realistic the simulated image is.
