Oh boy, on the eve of Trump’s visit to Mississippi, Cindy Hyde-Smith *doubles down* on her other “proteins to choose from” comment.
“Thank goodness when mothers want to feed their families when you go out shopping, there are proteins, you want to feed meat, there are some cheaper prices. And that’s what that statement was about.”

Compelling strategic argument here
Lots of people are asking me where to give their money - if you can only do one race, I’d give what you can to @MaryPeltola
Several reasons:
1) It’s a small state, so your money goes further per expected senate vote
2) Direct donations buy 19x ads per dollar than committees due to the unit rule - this also frees up the DSCC and SMP to put their money on states with smaller IE/coord ad price spreads and frees them up to spend more on digital
3) it’s likely going to be close!
It’s not too late! Any money you send today will get spent immediately and will provide real relief to an overworked campaign workers across a bunch of orgs!

Tomorrow, I’m chaperoning my son’s first kindergarten field trip. Me, a few other parents, and 24 feral 5/6 year olds. I’m irrationally excited. Parenting is so exhausting and I complain about it constantly (often with good reason), but it also rules.

She talked about the brain surgery she had to have and couldn't get before. She hugged me and said, "I want you to know that Medicaid expansion saved my life."
We talked about this on @HacksOnTap yesterday and @JohnAnzo and others have been on it for a while - these Libertarian candidates have the potential to take up huge chunks of the disaffected GOP vote and lower Dem threshold to victory to <50. Exhibits A-C, your honor.

I think people know this but worth saying out loud that in addition to both being Ohioans, JD and Vivek were classmates at Yale Law School (2013). Telling your friends when they are being pieces of shit is part of the job description, but can’t say I expected better of the VP.
