Nicotine pouches are growing in popularity, including among young people. That raises concerns about what increased nicotine use could mean for their health and well-being.
Nicotine can negatively affect the developing adolescent brain, including learning, memory and executive function. Yet tobacco companies are investing heavily in nicotine pouches as part of a strategy to grow and sustain nicotine use.

The consultation on tobacco and vape appearance and packaging closes today.
We asked the Children's Parliament their thoughts for new vape packaging and design. They want changes to make "vapes look ugly so it isn't seen as cool to do".

A new duty on vaping products comes into force today.
The new excise duty of £2.20 per 10ml on all vaping liquids manufactured in or imported into the UK could increase the price of vapes and help reduce their affordability to young people.
