Morphology is the study of the different parts of a word: prefix, root, suffix. The Aspire Science group were looking at these to help 'decode' some science vocabulary. We also learnt how etymonline.com/ is a great site to explore the origin of a word.

Aspire Science discussed how important scientific literacy is, as it provides a context for addressing societal problems. Being science-literate means we can better cope with problems, making intelligent and informed decisions that will ultimately affect the quality of our lives.
