Since a few people have asked, I've made a recording of my @ASSC27tokyo talk on mortal computation and artificial consciousness. Feedback is very welcome!

Thank you, Japan 🇯🇵, and thank you, @ASSC27tokyo @theASSC ! 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing souls who engaged with my poster on Reddit data mining for insights into the phenomenology of mystical experiences using BIG data. 🧠✨
This trip holds a special place in my heart. Growing up in Japan as a little girl and now returning as an adult researcher to the University of Tokyo is truly powerful. 🌸👩🔬 Linking life’s lineages and closing the circle... #ASSC #Neuroscience #Japan #Research #Phenomenology #BigData

One philosophical giant honoring another. @davidchalmers42's beautiful eulogy for @danieldennett in the memorial session for Dan @ASSC27tokyo 7/3/24. The last time I saw Dan was at our @theASSC event last year @nyuniversity. He's irreplaceable.

here's my philosophical eulogy for @danieldennett, in a memorial session at @ASSC27tokyo. the first half is biography; the second half is more personal.
i'm honored to have been his adversary. i'm privileged to have been his friend.

I'm still sad my poster never made it to @ASSC27tokyo, but I still am very proud with how it turned out. I'm working on an article now so hopefully my research will be published soon. ☺️

A memorable moment from #ASSC27: Joscha Bach @Plinz delivered an eloquent presentation on cyber-animism, exploring the potential trajectory of a new philosophy of mind. The discourse culminated with a nod to Hayao Miyazaki, presented as a prominent contemporary animist, bridging ancient concepts with modern thought.

#ASSC27 last day
- Ryuto Inoue: optimism extends to the perception of the environment
- Magdalena Jaglińska: time perception is mediated by sensory networks, which are shaped by interoceptive fluctuations / Can the heart help unlock the neural correlates of time perception?

Fantastic to be at @ASSC27tokyo, sharing joint work with @algekalipso and ideas from @QualiaRI
Presented two posters and one talk, at both the main event and some fantastic satellite workshops.
So much we don't understand about consciousness, but also a lot that we do...

Thank you so much, @Liad_Mudrik! It was so much fun to be @ASSC27tokyo. organizing the symposium with those 3 was just an incredible experience. I feel humbled & glad the audience got to attend it. Shoutout to @OudietteD and #francescasiclari for spearheading this idea. #Onward
Yet another beautiful symposium at @ASSC27tokyo on imagery, dreaming and mental blanking with @ADemertzi , Lionel Naccache, Paolo Bartolomeo and @SpagnaPhD. And I’m hearing excellent things about the parallel qualia symposium. Exciting!

Same same!! Thanks @kanair and @ASSC27tokyo for organizing this. It’s not easy and everyone with even little experience knows it. Looking forward to be @theASSC next year.

It still makes me sad that after saving up and working so hard so that I could attend @ASSC27tokyo and even making it to Tokyo, I ended up in the hospital instead and no one ever got to see my poster. 😞
