How recently women got rights you probably assumed we’ve always had: 1910 - Women could wear pants 1920 - White women could vote 1963 - Women gained equal pay rights (sort of) 1965 - Black women could vote 1969 - Women could initiate divorce 1972 - Women could get birth control without a man's permission 1973 - Women could get an abortion, legally 1974 - Women were allowed to open up a bank account, loan or credit card without a man’s name attached to it 1988 - Women could own their own business 1994 - Women gained legal protection against domestic abuse 2022 - Women lost the constitutional right to abortion We’re going backwards. Anyone who doesn’t see it that way is a fucking idiot.

Turns out the threat to women's safety isn't from trans athletes, it's from sick, privileged white men in ivy league colleges like Cornell who rape women and don't get arrested. These rapists are all protected by the Epstein class.

I guess most of you know that HIV causes AIDS. Well, it seems that SARS2 also causes a version of an acquired immune deficiency syndrome (not the same as that caused by HIV - a variation). A little introduction below…
SARS-CoV-2 has a protein that can turn immune cells into accomplices ➡️ Researchers found that the viral protein #ORF8 reprograms #macrophages, increasing #ACE2 on their surface and making them easier for SARS-CoV-2 to infect. ➡️ The infected macrophages then lose antiviral function and release inflammatory signals that amplify infection and lung damage in experimental models. 1/

Outdated’ health policies surrounding Covid still pose a danger today, says U of C researcher Dr Mark Ungrin. We also hear from Dr David Keegan and Kerri Bowser and you’ll notice they all have masks on. Great modelling along with the messaging. #MaskUp

SWISS RE: "Covid-19 may lead to longest period of peacetime excess mortality" Properly read that. It's not that it has (although it has). It's that it MAY STILL KEEP DOING IT INDEFINITELY. Until we stop covid infections. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ swissre.com/press-release/Co…

"It's biodegradable" isn't the point. An orange peel tossed on a trail is the first step in getting a hiker attacked and a bear killed. The peel won't break down fast, for one. A citrus rind can sit for months in dry conditions, years at high altitude. If you're in a temperate forest or the desert, nothing there is designed to preferentially decompose an orange peel. But the real problem isn't the decomposition, but what it teaches local wildlife. A bear that finds food where people were learns that the smell of people means food. It comes back and approaches the next group. It works its way through parking lots and campsites and eventually somebody's porch. That's called food conditioning, and once the bear has learned it, it will not unlearn it no matter what we do. A relocated bear usually returns to its original territory or becomes a problem in its new territory. Then it gets killed. Many wildlife agencies now skip the relocation step and go straight for culling. Rangers have a phrase for it: a fed bear is a dead bear. The bear didn't do anything wrong, nor did the unsuspecting hiker it learned to approach. But the orange peel left on the trail was the first step in putting the two on a crash course. Preventing this outcome happens every time you pack out what you pack in.

In high school: Why do I need biology, chemistry, and physics? I'll never use this stuff in real life. Twenty years later: Vaccines are a conspiracy. GMOs are poison. I've done my research. Science isn't about memorizing facts. It's about learning to tell facts from nonsense.

Dandelions are one of the last flowers standing in the fall. Spray one with roundup and you're spraying every bumblebee queen that visits, just as she's preparing to hibernate. The flower doesn't die on contact. It takes days, and it keeps getting visited the entire time. Bumblebee queens are feeding hard right now, building the fat reserves that have to carry them through months underground with no colony and no food. Every queen that doesn't fatten up is a colony that doesn't start next spring. Research from Finland found glyphosate-exposed bumblebees lost the ability to tell flowers apart by color, and lost their sensitivity to the ultraviolet patterns bees use to find nectar. Late solitary bees, hoverflies, and butterflies are working the same flowers too. If the dandelions genuinely bother you, dig them out. A weeding fork gets the taproot. Or leave them. The first hard frost takes care of it.

This is not quackery. It's not low quality. It's not junk science. It's not debated. It's detailed, exhaustive, thoroughly researched science: Covid infections increase your risk of a vast range of health problems. Vaccinations do not prevent that increase in risk. Having had Covid before does not prevent that increase in risk. The only thing that prevents the increase in risk is to *not catch Covid*. There's a wave now, so mask up.

For those of you that haven't read it, Chapter 10 of Project 2025 was literally about creating food insecurity by cutting safety nets and slashing regulations and restrictions on food production. No, we weren't overreacting to Project 2025.

Steve Schmidt, who ran John McCain's 2008 campaign for president, was interviewed on MSNOW. In response to a very general question regarding the Trump presidency, Mr. Schmidt spoke for two minutes and gave the most insightful and brutally honest response of what the Trump presidency has done to our great country: "Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And, I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And, he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And, there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.” "When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.” "It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale. And, let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are, because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk." @SteveSchmidtSES r/t Ron Tipton
