Today, I join the MTBPS Debrief to confront the realities of municipal finances and what they mean for ordinary residents and small businesses.
Johannesburg is not short of resources or potential. What it lacks is leadership that understands how economic decisions affect ordinary people.

At yesterday’s TESA MTBPS Debrief, I raised a critical issue facing Joburg.
When businesspeople fund political parties expecting tenders in return, is the City being governed or auctioned to the highest bidder?

As the country prepares for the upcoming elections, we are reminded that leadership is not merely about occupying positions of power, but about serving the people with humility, honesty and integrity.
We thank Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto leadership for the warm invitation and for bringing faith and leadership into one important conversation.

It’s disappointing the President promised the employment of 10 000 labour inspectors during SONA yet no funding has been provided to employ them.
Illegal immigration related protests threaten social instability and government lacks capacity to manage immigration. BMA is underfunded, there’s only 1100 immigration officers to enforce immigration laws.
The fuel levy relief is welcomed but the fuel price structure that leads to high fuel prices remains. Until we deal with the structure, motorists will be burdened by high fuel prices.

Kuhle masosha kuhle!!
We joined @IsambuloRadio for an engaging conversation on politics, governance and the future of Johannesburg.
The conversation was a reminder that the frustration of ordinary South Africans is real, and the demand for honest, accountable leadership can no longer be ignored.
We thank Isambulo Sama Afrika Radio for providing a platform for meaningful engagement on the issues affecting our people.

We demanded action against fraudulent spaza shop ownership and fronting. The Minister's response? More consultations, workshops and an online platform still under development!
Apparently, criminals need awareness campaigns while South Africans must patiently wait for enforcement.
Our township economy needs protection, not another government talk shop!

Spent some time with the people of Cosmo City today.
What I continue to hear across Johannesburg is the same frustration. Our people are not asking for anything extraordinary. They simply want a City that works, where their concerns are taken seriously and their dignity is respected.
Something has to change in Johannesburg, and that change must be felt in the lives of ordinary people.

Ward 129, the time for empty promises is over!
The ATM is on the ground today, engaging residents of Thulani Informal Settlement, listening to their struggles and championing the urgent need for dignified housing, basic services and better living conditions.

The ATM is on the ground in Ward 121, listening to residents speak about the daily struggles they face.
We cannot keep voting for the same failures and expect different results. It's time to turn our frustrations into action, organise our communities and vote for leadership that puts people first.
A refreshing start to a day of action!
ATM Mayoral Candidate for the City of Johannesburg, Hon. Vuyo Zungula, joined residents and ATM supporters for an energizing morning hike at Rietfontein Nature Reserve.
Beyond the trails, today was about building unity, strengthening community bonds and walking together towards a better Johannesburg.
Passing the buck seems to be Minister Barbara Creecy’s preferred mode of transport!
The ATM raised serious concerns about tensions between taxi operators and big bus companies in Ngcobo and Qumbu. Instead of providing solutions, the Minister simply referred us to provincial authorities.

We attended umgubho wesizwe samaHlubi.
AmaHlubi is one of the oldest nations with a rich history. King Langalibalele l was one of the first political prisoners in Robben Island as He was resisting colonial rule. The nation was stripped its Kingship in 1873.
Although the democratic government is premised on undoing the evils of the colonial past, the Kingship hasn’t been restored.
There can never be justice until the AmaHlubi Kingship is restored and government fully recognises this beautiful nation.
