We’re now at the stockpiling stage of ‘totally fucking ignoring all scientific warnings for the last 40 years’

Let’s pretend climate scientists were exaggerating and that actually climate change wasn’t going to be catastrophic, would it not be the case that the flooding that we are seeing today because of this storm, the horrifically unpleasant extreme heat we saw this summer, the drought, the wildfires, the threat to farmers ability to grow foods, the operations that were cancelled, the busiest summer on record for the London ambulance service and so on, would that not be reason enough to act? But the fact is climate change is going to be catastrophic, scientists are very clear that it does threaten our ability to maintain organised human society. And people like Lord Ashcroft seem to be doing everything they can to undermine action.
