AY-sync. Like atypical and asymmetrical.

It’s pretty straightforward. Just a feature flags table and a feature flag overrides table.
The flags table has name, description, and active.
The overrides table has user_id (in our case organization_id) and active.
We store flags in their token to reduce db load.

I’ve done both.
LaunchDarkly is really great, but super expensive. They have built-in caching, change history, evaluation history, etc. It’s quite robust. They also have web sockets so your UI updates immediately.
I’ve built my own too, which works well for our needs.

Method overloading and multiple catch blocks (would need runtime type checking)

Have you heard about this? github.com/nektos/act
I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it seems promising. You can test GH actions locally.

Lack of trust in the direction of Twitter, plus the excitement of a new startup on cool tech makes me excited about using BlueSky.
I own a product that is used in schools. We want teachers and students to use their district provided email address, not their personal email addresses.

I agree. I use it as well. This was just the best example I could think of in the moment.

Conditional strings should use full words. `List has {count} {count === 1 ? ‘item’ : ‘items’` instead of `List has {count} item{count === 1 ? ‘’ : ‘s’}`. IMO it’s much easier to read when words themselves aren’t concatenated.

Home automation with a Raspberry Pi. I had a Node server running on it. It was a lot to maintain, so I ended up switching it over to Home Assistant.
I loved the episode! You were talking about devs messing around with algorithms related to Wordle. This is a Wordle solver I built a couple weeks ago. wordle-guide.netlify.app/
I just found a really neat tool to quickly smash out a new database schema. Highly recommended! dbdiagram.io #dbdiagram #dev #database
