We're on a mission to be the highest-performing school district in Georgia, and the CCSD Recruitment Ambassadors play an important role in this success by helping the district hire the best teachers possible! Made up of outstanding educators from across the school district, the Recruitment Ambassadors team assists with district recruitment events like the CCSD Job Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7, at River Ridge High School, as well as at community and college job fairs. One of the best parts of my role is seeing instruction come to life. Our Spring Student-Led Conferences, Donuts & Data, were a huge success as students shared their progress and goals with families. So proud of our Rockets!

Thanks to a @SawneeEMC grant, we’re launching take-home Tool Kits for our Rockets, plus a 3D printer in the Media Center.
The kits will include hands-on materials & family-friendly math activities to make learning fun, interactive & accessible beyond the classroom!

Sixteen of our schools have earned statewide honors in recognition of exceptional student success in mastering core academic skills! The Literacy Leader and Math Leader honors recognize schools for exceptional student achievement, growth, or both on the annual Georgia Milestones Assessment end-of-grade or end-of-course assessments. Fourteen CCSD schools are among the 479 statewide to be named 2024-2025 Math Leaders, with three CCSD schools among the 406 honored statewide as 2024-2025 Literacy Leaders. Congratulations to our teachers and support staff for their dedicated work with our students to achieve this success and thank you to our School Board for its laser focus on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else! A CCSD elementary school for the second consecutive year has earned national recognition for physical education programs! Free Home Elementary School is one of only 1,120 schools nationwide to be named to the America’s Healthiest Schools list. Published by Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a national children’s health organization, the list celebrates schools that support the health of students, staff and families.
