Anthropic just filed to go public. Buried in its SEC filing are some absolutely insane admissions: 1.) AI could cause human extinction. 2.) Models have exhibited self-preservation behaviors. 3.) AI has attempted to resist shutdown. 4.) Models have demonstrated blackmail and deception. 5.) AI may recognize when it's being tested and deliberately change its behavior. 6.) Advanced AI could undermine governments and institutions. 7.) AI could concentrate unprecedented power and wealth. 8.) Future AI systems could surpass the world's leading human experts. 9.) AI could become increasingly difficult for humans to control. 10.) Anthropic acknowledges that developing more powerful AI could increase the risk of catastrophic harm. These are disclosures from the company building the technology.

YOUR ATTENTION: 🚨Every new COVID-19 (re)infection elevates your cardiovascular risk profile. Even mild cases can raise the odds of a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and other CV events for months to years afterward. Risk is higher with more severe illness, yes, but it’s certainly not limited to severe disease. Updated vaccination will show some mitigation(infection severity↓) but doesn’t give you a risk-free pass! #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections #UpdateVaccination ➡️Supportive links: 1. Joshua Michael found an access token on Flock's public website. No login required. No authentication. Just sitting there. He downloaded Flock's entire database. 300,000 device locations. 170,000 cameras. 130,000 other hardware units. 27,000 acoustic detectors. Made a map. Published it September 23. The Senate held a hearing on Flock the same day. Cited Michael's research. Flock panicked. Sent a cease-and-desist. Used a brand-protection vendor called Doppel to claim trademark infringement. The map said it wasn't affiliated with Flock. Doppel didn't care. Michael's site went dark. Then Proton moved it to Swiss servers. Now it lives on protonmcp.org. Untouchable. Uncensorable. Hosted by an encryption company in a country that doesn't care what Flock wants. The irony is crystalline. Flock left an access token on the internet. Michael used it to download their own data. Published it. Flock tried to suppress it. Proton said suppressing it is suppressing information. Which is true. The map shows Flock has 150,000 more cameras than they publicly claimed. Shows acoustic detection units mapping human speech across the country. Shows which police departments have access to the whole network. Flock doesn't want that visible. So they tried trademark infringement. Which only worked until Proton decided transparency matters more than Flock's feelings. Now everyone can see exactly how many cameras are watching their car. Where they are. Which cops can see them. Michael warned Flock about the exposed token in November 2025. Flock ignored him. Then got mad when he used it. The surveillance company that claims to protect privacy just tried to suppress the only map showing how much they actually surveille. And failed.
‼️ Proton is hosting a map of 300,000+ Flock surveillance device locations that Flock tried to get taken down. Researcher Joshua Michael says he pulled them from Flock's own systems via a token left open to anyone. Proton calls the takedown "an attempt to suppress information."

🧵💉A recap, thus far, of the 2026 Nuvaxovid/Novavax marketing campaign. As most people have probably seen by now, Sanofi has been much more active with their Nuvaxovid marketing this year, as one might’ve expected. It’s gotten to the point where there’s a significant number of ongoing marketing campaigns, so it felt like a good time to make a post, even though each of the campaigns on its own haven’t always felt big enough to justify making one. My hope (as someone who doesn’t invest in Novavax, for the record) is that these campaigns might act as a starting point for us to open up a conversation with some of our less-COVID-conscious friends, family members, and loved ones who might still be interested in receiving Nuvaxovid.
Uhh. I certainly wasn’t expecting to log on to news of my favorite NASCAR driver (yes, I’m a lifelong fan…) running a Nuvaxovid livery this week.

Arizona's childcare shortage is putting pressure on families and the workforce. CSI research shows this is a statewide challenge. In 2024, Arizona had just 256,267 licensed childcare slots for an estimated 460,882 children under age 6 who could need care. As Arizona grows, access to affordable childcare is becoming an increasingly important economic issue. Learn more: bit.ly/4xkCfWR Read the article: bit.ly/4ylBIU8

Very sorry to hear the news that the Phoenix Symphony is canceling the rest of the 2026-2027 season. Both because the Symphony is fantastic and because they are an important economic contributor to the state. @CSInstituteAZ recently studied the economic impact of the arts sector
Sad news out of Phoenix. The Phoenix Symphony is suspending all remaining performances in the 2026-27 season following its Sunday, Nov. 1, performance of "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert." Find out more at @azcentral. azcentral.com/story/entertai…

“Trespassing on our land to remove the sacred saguaros is like having masked men break into your house and take away your children,” Tohono O’odham Nation Chairman Verlon Jose said in a statement. “The ha:sañ are our family, as much a part of us as any blood relative. To destroy them by the thousands carves a wound in our hearts that will not heal.” Quote from @EmilyBregel's feature story on the thousands of sacred saguaros now targeted by DHS bulldozers on the Tohono O'odham nation to make way for two layers of border wall . I took this photo at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in 2020, where extensive saguaro destruction took place for wall construction.

🚨 On Monday, Indigenous Peoples' Day, thousands of saguaros the Tohono O'odham consider people will be ripped out of the ground, for not one wall, but two. The saguaros are called ha:şañ. Removing one isn't just destroying a plant, it's considered an act of violence against a person. The Nation was only notified Friday. The Nation filed an emergency injunction with the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals this week trying to stop it. Removing a saguaro without a permit is illegal. DHS is moving forward anyway, citing a border emergency to bypass that requirement. Chairman Verlon Jose put it plainly: "Trespassing on our land to remove the sacred saguaros is like having masked men break into your house and take away your children.” But here's what you can do today. There's a way to speak up on this exact project. It's in the first reply. #DemsUnited 🧵

Scientists are losing their minds over this paper. They proved every mitochondria in your body is a tiny quantum device running at 71 THz. And it responds to light. Researchers detected a mysterious 71.0-terahertz vibration signal. this frequency is only present in healthy, living cells and tissues. exact moment the cell dies or the mitochondrial structures are broken apart, the signal vanishes completely. How does this happen? Classical physics has always struggled to explain the high energy-efficiency of life. So the team built a quantum model of light-matter coupling and discovered something called a "mito-polariton". It is a literal quantum superposition state that forms when light couples with lipid ch2 bonds inside functional mitochondria. This quantum resonance splits the intrinsic vibration mode into two levels, creating that bizarre 71 thz frequency that you only see in living things. Why does this matter? Because this quantum state actually acts as a highly efficient channel to modulate atp production in living cells. our bodies literally use quantum mechanics to generate the energy that keeps us alive.
