We used machine learning to understand which social and neurobehavioral risk factors are linked to non-prescribed opioid use in young adults - the top ranked psychological variable predicting opioid use was higher loneliness! @AndreaMMax @UMNews

Most exciting: based on 125 reviewed #neuroimaging studies on #drug exposure in rodents the effects of drugs on brain function seem to be dynamic, with the #striatum being upregulated in the first weeks but downregulated later!
