It's actually because hip hop is younger than rock. In the 70s and 80s there was plenty of rock stars being called "out of touch" or "irrelevant" because they were 35+. Once the 90s rolled around and classic rock became a thing it was less prevalent.
I feel like hip-hop/rap is the only genre where we dismiss our legends calling them “washed up”. You’ll never see someone call Roger Waters who still preforming Pink Floyd hits washed. Or someone like Bruce Springsteen. It’s honestly sad.

The 90s also had when the hair bands became irrelevant very quickly due to changing trends and bands full of 20 year olds were considered passe (washed) when still young. That's often why age doesn't make you washed in rock. Being behind the times does.

Everyone left Attack of the Clones with only one positive thing to say when it came out and that was Yoda does a flip. That's it. That was the entire defence of an indefensible piece of trash.
The Star Wars prequels are unwatchable because the dialogue is awful and the acting is terrible The scenes feel hollow because 90% of the surroundings were green screened, even walkways, elevators, interiors Not one single suit of clone armor was manufactured or featured on screen for an actor to wear You can make all the edits you want that sidestep all of these problems and create the movie you think it is But it isn’t that movie.

This is all well and good to say until you actually watch the movies and it's a bunch of actors awkwardly standing in front of a green screen giving deliveries like they've never spoken the English language before
The Prequels are good films because they tell a cohesive story; that of Anakin’s fall. The pacing the good, the score is fantastic, the visuals are good, and the acting is Shakespearean. The plot, as well, has more substance than the OT. Most hate against it is preferential.

I legit have not seen a Jagmeet Singh ad on here since this report came out.
If you're wondering who is behind those Jagmeet Singh duffel bag ads on here, know that it's part of a multi-billion dollar scam empire being run out of Eastern European call centers. It's an absolutely massive problem and Canada is a priority target. cbc.ca/news/ukraine-call-cen…

It wouldn't be my pick but you know what? I'm good with it. Great song.
👑 #1 - @YYYs' "Maps" "Though New York art-punk trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs are often celebrated for their off-the-wall energy, it’s a quieter moment that became the band’s most-enduring song." See the full list: rollingstone.com/music/music…

Young Blood by The Naked and Famous not even making the Top 200 is silly. Dumb list overall but number one is a fine choice.

The Wayback Machine risks becoming collateral damage in the fight against AI, writes Internet Archive founder Brewster Kahle in The Atlantic. Blocking the Internet Archive won’t stop AI companies from scraping the web. But it can undermine a vital resource for journalists, researchers, and anyone seeking information that has disappeared or changed. I'm honestly glad he is recognizing the limitations of his talents.

I think the hardest part of modern social media, and the recent election was a major factor in this, is that so few people feel real anymore. I'll click a profile when someone says they support a candidate and it doesn't feel like a human is behind the account. It sucks.

Sometimes there isn't, but what worries me more is when there's a legitimate person just spewing shit they didn't take two seconds to think about. And it's all they live for. I got no solutions. It just sucks.

I can't believe someone actually tried to make a guy named Brad Bradford the mayor of Toronto. Looking forward to next election when they run Ted Tedski.

Why aren't these CEOs proud of AI? Are you not calling it the future and just a tool? Shouldn't you be happy to have it disclosed? Why do you want to hide its use?
Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney doubled down on his severe criticism of Valve, calling Steam’s AI content disclosure a “political act.” bit.ly/4jHenJg
