.@aiwrapper is one of the few people in San Francisco in our community who actually tried to make SF better with their time.
He put aside lucrative careers to work to make government better and that is admirable, earnest, and the correct thing to do.

$200B+ is lost annually in improper payments by the US federal gov—100X of SpaceX annual budget!
When I was at Palantir, we cleared the backlog of the UK’s NHS by deploying scalable tech that flagged obvious errors, like ultrasounds scheduled for pregnant patients in their 11th month. How is it possible there’s a US federal agency (GAO) that reports this massive waste every year, yet no one’s eliminated it?
Most of US gov still runs on Powerpoint and Excel. An engineering-first gov efficiency commission by @elonmusk could save trillions annually. Exciting possibilities ahead!
Introducing AccelerateX
Outdated tech is dragging down the US Government. Legacy vendors sell broken systems at increasingly steep prices. This hurts every American citizen.
It’s time for a radical change.
Why now?
Federal agencies are scrambling to adopt AI. Legacy providers can’t keep up
We’ve already signed contracts with 2 of the America's largest public transit agencies
This is only the beginning. We're going to make the American government the most innovative in the world
Join us
We are hiring 2 talented founding engineers to work on the most impactful projects of this generation and accelerate the US government technology space.

If you're building an AI startup, I'm begging you not to work on another image generation tool or LLM for middle class Americans. 'Competition is for losers' as @peterthiel said, find what nobody is working on. Look through the 280k+ datasets on data.gov, imagine problems you could solve if you had a perfect function approximator for that data. That's what neural networks are at the end of the day.
Suppose you had a system that predicted one of these with 95%+ accuracy, what could you do with that? What real human problems could be solved?

How do we deploy projects beyond the @accelerate_sf hackathon so they can begin addressing challenges in SF?
Dozens of the best hackers in the city came together this Saturday to continue accelerating SF @NewtonSF_. Inspired by SF City Attorney @DavidChiu's speech, here’s what they built:
- Smart search engine for police body camera footage, allowing law enforcement to find insights quicker
- Automatic summaries of SF Supervisor meetings with keyword search, alerts, and vote tracking over time
- AI matching at-risk people to city services based on their unique situation and eligibilities
- Application for city planners to streamline the permit process
With continued effort, we will build SF into the most advanced city in America.
Announcing Accelerate SF: Tinkerers! Come along to build software solutions for new challenges in SF on 12/2. Applications are open⬇️
It is in our power to build San Francisco into the world's most technologically advanced city. If we can accelerate SF, we can accelerate the rest of America.
The time has come to deploy the solutions we built, and to find new challenges. Join our team to help ⬇️

Extremely excited to participate in @accelerate_sf hackathon this weekend.
I've been reading Recoding America by Jennifer Pahlka and to see government encouraging hacking and creative problem solving is badass!
