When it comes to BEE compliance, they put you under that. They were forced to do so. Problem is they think they're the exception and not the rule
The issue isn’t you guys thinking you were hired on merit. It’s that you guys don’t realise that WYT owned firms wouldn’t hire YOU based on merit, they always had & always planned to hire on race That’s the actual success of BEE

The people who voted have spoken, and I respect that. But the housing crisis in Cape Town didn’t disappear on election day. Neither did the 500,000 families with nowhere to live, the apartheid spatial plan, or the gap between those who can afford to be here and those who can’t. We ran on solutions - not slogans. Alongside candidates who share this fight for a fairer city, we pushed for affordable housing in well-located areas, dignified living conditions, and a City that builds inclusion instead of managing exclusion. The result doesn’t change those realities. It just means the work continues - in council, in communities, and next week. The struggle for social and spatial justice in Cape Town is not over. 📸: @IOL / Henk Kruger

These elections were proof of how much we need to prioritize literacy, especially media literacy and bring back Black Consciousness. We can't go on like this

I wish they’d be around them since like 6 years old and then maybe they’d see these people don’t like us. No amount of golf playing, piano lessons, and twanging will make them like you. Like please stop.
south africans need to start learning what micro aggressions are and how to spot them because they're all being taken for a poes through subtle actions.

Mind you their version of employment is bringing in off-shore call centres to underpay workers and make them work tedious hours. While digital nomads roam the streets the youth is clocking in their 14:00-22:00 US shifts. Ngapha water and electricity is privatised. Mxm.
Solly Msimang (DA) is saying no RDP houses for the poor. The poor must find employment so they can build their own houses ❤️

The EFF is fine. South Africa just needs voter education. That's what we need to fix.
EFF ke ya rena and we will fix it. 🤝

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) continues to attract support among young voters and university communities, with early election results pointing to a strong showing around several major tertiary institutions. tinyurl.com/y4m2xhz3

A one-year-old child drowned after falling into an open municipal drain in Samora Machel in Cape Town. Nkosikhona Swartbooi said the toddler, who lived near the drain, had taken a few steps out of his home and fallen in. He also said that the drain had been left open since August

‼️ This tweet is not tweeting for me There is no new South Africa emerging. There is a renewal of white supremacy. This is not democracy. We cannot ever be a democratic South Africa until we face the sins of apartheid and colonialism. It is a farce. South Africa is moving backwards NOT forward
The old South Africa is gone. Yesterday's South Africa has departed. The defining factor of the first 32 years, ANC monopoly, is over. A new South Africa is emerging, with many parties wrestling over our future. Democracy is alive and well. Now we will see. To 2029, and beyond

It’s time we go back to branch politics. A lot of the parties you believe in are underfunded and need volunteers. There’s a bi-election that will come up before 2029 if I’m not mistaken. The people who were registered and didn’t vote can still right their wrongs before 2029.
